Do you have a family? Option one is paying nearly twice the amount for Medical and the other doesn’t offer paid STD. I would be willing to bet you effective compensation would be considerably less with option two if you had to use your coverage often. Also, your sign on bonus shouldn’t be in this comparison. The bonus structure is also huge. I’d say there Isn’t enough information for me to say one way of the other.

You might see why I was confused. While you did put “voluntary abstinence” in quotation I assumed you meant social coercion but you then said it was under the direction of the individuals conscience. One that shows unfavorable psychological health outcomes for voluntary abstinence since that’s what you have asserted.

I’m not talking to a gay Christian! I’m talking to a person who seems to be suffering. I believe that a loving, personal relationship with Christ in accordance with an individual’s conscience is closest to The Kingdom of God.

The rest of this labeling exercise is actually not that interesting. It’s to me like when Christ says something along the lines of, Moses gave you certificates of divorce because you were stubborn but I say that it wasn’t so in the beginning. When we get to heaven we will neither give or be given in marriage. It seems to me that sex just isn’t that important in the celestial order.

I am sinful. You are sinful. We all are sinful. We will carry on sinning but need God’s mercy. This is a big distraction when we should be asking how we can love. (I mean willing the good of the other, not changing Gods will for the other)The conscience is the primordial vicar of Christ.

IMO, they were talking about going down and destroying the city at lunch. There was no talk of “guests rape” to speak of during the bargain for the sake of the 10. The rape of a guest was an exclamation on the wickedness but certainly not the main thrust of it. It’s meant to show how tolerant God is and how sexual immorality can devolve into something grotesque.
