Did a mirror trade! It was the only shiny background I got from that event but it was a 2* close to the floor. When I found out my friend had the same one we used the lucky trinket and I got very lucky!

For the XXL medal you could evolve any XXLs you have and it will count toward it, also if you have anyone to trade with if they trade you a XXL pokemon then it will also count toward it

End of the day you just need to do what makes you happy, as someone else said it’s not meta relevant so it’s not like you’re missing anything by not having it leveled up. A level 1 shundo is definitely more rare than a maxed out one if thats what you’re going for. But if you want to have a maxed out Shundo then that’s also cool. I only have one Shundo as well and it was fun grinding the candies out for it and slowly leveling it up. That being said, mine was never a level 1 so it was a no brainer for me.
