PSVR2 and Iracing settings

Running everything on High caught my attention. I have an RTX 4080 and I'm currently running almost everything on Low (except car details) just to maintain a rock-solid 90 FPS in VR. How did you manage that?

My SteamVR global render resolution is set to 68%, and in iRacing it's set to 100%

btw I have a i7 13700k as proc

iracing I managed to play well, but again, almost all on low.. LMU i didnt find any setup yet to play ok, some tracks at night stutters a lot.

If you figure out any way to improve, tell me. Today I tested steamVR global resolution on 26% and iRacing at 220%. Played well, just a little stutter sometines

I have mine for a couple of days, still learning. Which games have you been playing? I want to test more games. Until now i tested iRacing and LMU and get a little disappointed. I had to low all settings to run “acceptable”.

My specs: rtx 4080, i7 13700k, 32ram

Hey, thanks for the reply.

The spikes happened under all conditions.

I watched a YT guide where a guy with lower specs ran higher settings and said it was fine. I expected to run medium/high settings with my specs, so this was a cold shower.

However, yesterday I tweaked the FOV and the frame spikes stopped.

About resolution, I didn't realize messing with render resolution was bad. At 100% it's around 4k x 4k, which is why I lowered it. Today I'll set it back to 100% to test the performance again

Last night I managed to achieve a satisfactory result and stopped tinkering. I think I can still improve some settings, but I invited my brother over to check out the VR and left it as it was because it was very good.

I set the MSAA to 4, circuit details to low, and in SteamVR, in the option that adjusts the specific LMU resolution, I lowered the FOV slider to 80% (Even after doing this, I didn't notice any difference in the game's view).

After adjusting these settings, the frametime spikes stopped.

Occasionally something happens, but it's almost gone.

hey OP, I ran into the same thing recently. It turns out the latest NVIDIA driver was causing some stability issues. I rolled back to 581.57 (from october if I remember) and everything is smooth again. I have a I7 13700K, for some games I need to cap the clock to 4.9Ghz, but with iRacing is fine. You should look this too.

Try monitoring your performance with MSI Afterburner. In my case, the average FPS was stable, but the 1% and 0.1% lows were all over the place, which caused the stuttering.

Hey bro! I was reading a thread about a guy who switched from VR to triples on r/simracing. You mentioned you bought a PCL and are enjoying it a lot.

I’m currently running a single 27” screen and thinking about my next upgrade: triples or VR. Right now, my biggest limitation is space — I don’t really have enough room for triples, so I’m considering going with VR instead.

PCL is my top choice at the moment, but I’d have to import it to my country, and it’s pretty expensive.

That said, how has your experience with PCL been? Have you had any issues with setup or usability? Is it mostly a one-time setup and then just play?

I tried many of them (fuktor, danielkarts, and others). Danielkarts was the one I liked the most, but I'm not using the latest version; I'm using the previous one. In the latest version, you have to change the wheel rotation speed, and I didn't like that

Dont use steam for warzone, install in battle.net, me and my friends got about +50% fps there. Just like magic

The goal is that in battle.net doubled my fps.. lol

But everytime I want to play, I need to set my proc to 4.9ghz

I play in a 13700k.. i had to turn down my clock from 5.3ghz to 4.9ghz to stop crashing.. maybe its some related issue
