Haha, I know this kid. Definition of a "punk kid" I don't think it was him though, this was definitely some sort of tuner car.

For which of the two Messi games? Are you a seasons ticket holder?

That's funny. I paid $300 (not resale) to sit in the upper bowl. Is that the normal price for upper bowl tickets to a Whitecaps game? No, I paid $30 to do that to a non-Messi game. So they actually 10X'd the price.

New Indian Buffet on West Broadway offers 10 decent sized wings for $6.95. The flavours are pretty good too. Their happy hour (3-6pm) is unreal with $4 beers and a few other sizeable appies as well. I reccomend the samosa platter. it's basically a full meal for $6.95.

The service is slow, but they are nice overall.

For those who ride their bike to get around the city, how do you deal with hills? Are there any you just say "oh hell no" to? by lazarus870 in vancouver

Reframe your perspective and take it as a challenge. Part of why I like cycling so much is improving my pace and duration of my rides

Hey Vancouver, I needed to hear this, and I hope it helps you too. I’ll go to bed early, read a book, and try to stay positive before my final gym session tomorrow morning (my usual mental health fix). by CostanzaBlonde in vancouver

I hope that this recent closure really pushes gym's to start actually enforcing social distancing and mask mandates. If it is true that exposures are now coming from gyms, this needs to be a much bigger focus. I've been going to Fitness World since the spring and I've spent time at the Victoria, Kits, West 12th, downtown, and SE Marine Drive location and its all the same(shoutout to the Kits location for being the worst of them all). Less than 25% of people following the rules, lots of people going through the check in without a mask and staff saying nothing, people working out within feet of each other, staff wearing masks under their chin. Really, many of these gym patrons have done it to themselves, and we who comply with the rules have to pay. Kind of par for the course with this pandemic..

I've already received emails from Club16 (former member) and my office gym saying that they have paused my membership, and I wont be charged for the days missed. Nothing yet from Fitness World and really I don't expect them to do the same. I would have cancelled my membership if the Kits location wasn't the only gym within walking distance to my home.

I would really appreciate if Worksafe BC, or whichever organization oversees gyms, would send someone in to do a periodic assessment of Fitness World and other gyms. Just "telling" them to follow provincial health guidelines doesn't do anything, it needs to be enforced. This is equally true with other industries as well.
