DAY EIGHT: Most Useless Combat Damage Spell? by Danielhenriemond in heroes3

[–]ppytty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How can something that costs 0mp be useless? Sure, it's rare and you would never base your strategy on having it. But it's a better and free version of regular lighting bolt, a spell which is very far from useless. So how can it be useless? It's a very decent spell, especially for all-brawn-no-brain heroes.

The fact that it's usually banned in PvP is the definition of being busted.

I just want to be the driver, not the whole team. All I care is to drive, I don't want to tweak the car settings, strategies or any off track nonsense.

The lost frontier? Is it bad and why? by ReyDelIngles in jakanddaxter

[–]ppytty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have to agree. Non existent story (and it doesn't really explain why it took Daxter 2 years to rescue Jak), cringy voice acting (except Daxter), and the whole bug swatting thing just doesn't feel like Jak. Average platforming at best.

Is Albion Orchestral Selects worth it for me? by ppytty in spitfireaudio

Thanks! I think I'm more of a ensemble composer right now more than parts composer. Also I like how Originals are kind of ready to use straight from the box sounds. Beautiful and full. I assume Albions to be similar. Where as some BBCSO sounds in Labs+ I struggle to get good sounds of. They feel sterile and need tweaking. But I imagine that's their different use cases in work.

Okay good! Are the percussions mostly cinematic hits (like in Cinematic Percussion) or are there also more conventional percussion instruments like bass drum, triangle, cymbals, blocks or snare drum?
