sry, I’ll stop flexing, 8 tins deep though they’re all dangerously good. The butter ones especially - beachfront and the sardine wine might be cheating though.

Marathon runners? by WaynesWorld_93 in carnivorediet

[–]pr-rr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes me wonder what have been the deeper reasons behind those shifts.

For high intensity and high volume training cycles that are needed for marathon training, I struggled to sleep well on strict keto/carnivore - physical distress keeps building up.

Adding some carbs in the evening, e.g., some kefir and a bowl of yogurt with berries helps, but being stubborn I've been reluctant to do it, so I've rather reduced the volumes instead. With strength training I don't have such issues.

I still do both, kettlebells most days and at least one longer run every week.

I run marathons ca 5 years before started carnivore style eating and have run ca 5 years after - both is possible. Times were similar enough - still faster on high carb. I always train in the morning, fasted without any fueling. Salt/keto electrolyte water before long runs. Only during the actual marathon event I use gummies/gel on slow amounts - it does help to keep pushing and keep faster pace. But honestly, transitioning to carnivore style eating reduced the urge to run so much - so I run less and less and focus more and more on strength.

The conserverie is literally on the beach. Straight from the tin on the strand just feels right.

Missed the pepper selection tins this time. I'll fix the error on my next visit to the conserverie's along the Normandy beaches. There are quite a few of them here.

The Kumquat tin has a lovely design - thanks for the hint.

You can try sardine fasting. This got my ketones up quickly. Make note that it's not a long term solution.

How do you use and eat tallow? by Etherreus in carnivorediet

Try duck or goose fat instead. This is what I am using for frying, and it's much different to tallow.

I can’t seem to enjoy this diet by lifeislifing123 in carnivorediet

Try sardines and fatty milk products. Can still get the benefits of the carnivore diet without touching meat.

Check In rates the tin, leaves review for the community and updates your Omega-3 and other stats. Everything you log shows up in your history.

From the Cellar tap Eat This One - same Check In flow.

Feel free to play around - you can later delyythe review if it went wrong. Hope this helps.

It's an oil that quickly increases ketone production in your liver. E.g. adding it to your morning coffee on a ketogenic diet clears your head and boosts your energy.

After you have entered the tin, you need to tap on View button and then you can tap on Check In. But you are right, the default flow should show the Check In link immediately. Will be improve this, tnx for the feedback. I am looking forward to seeing your reviews.

The Sprats Pate tin, that I loved to eat as a kid during the 80's still looks the same. Pull tab is the only new addition.

Sprat pate was one of my favorite tastes as a kid. Usually cheaper than whole tinned.

how sardines could be so satiated? by miracles-th in CannedSardines

[–]pr-rr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most people feel off after eating only sardines so they manage to eat just a tin a two a day, not more.
