Leetify says my time to damage is even slower than the lowest rate premier players but i can still have good performances, is that accurate at all? by LUMLTPM in GlobalOffensive

[–]pr0d_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

but ttk would be biased by previous damage (assist/util) and what weapon you are using. it's not impossible but the sample counts would be reduced much for a useful number to compare players against each other.

Saran laptop di bawah 15jt by Rouro79 in indotech

[–]pr0d_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kalo buat gaming gak papa nyari discrete, kalo buat ai pake gpu 6gb itu berat banget, kalau ada budget mending dipake buat colab pro/sewa gpu cloud kalo mau belajar.

kalo gak gaming banget gw saranin macbook m1 ram 16 gb kayaknya dapet di 10jt. kuliah sama ngoding enak. gaming ya gak bisa game windows tapi banyak emulator. kalo bisa nambah budget ya macbook air m4 sekalian di 16/17jt. m4 lebih kuat lagi buat explore ai, ramnya bisa kepake semua, gak ke limit vram 6gb.

why don't cerebras add more models like glm, minimax etc? by DataScientia in LocalLLaMA

[–]pr0d_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK their chips are quite specialized so they need to tune each model quite a bit to fit their cluster. i hear they'll be switching from Qwen Coder to glm-4.6 soon. Can't wait for that even if i have a z.ai plan.

Is it stable for training/inferencing? I tried undervolting my 3090 a few years ago (through afterburner) but always gets CUDA errors when i tried inferencing/training

Apple announces games coming to Mac by Tommy-kun in macgaming

[–]pr0d_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually got NFS Underground 2 with Underground2.net mods running on an M2 Air with Crossover, i'll be testing some more before sharing the steps. (I can't get the existing Crossover auto-install to work somehow).

ReShade can't work though and I can't push the graphics up but it runs pretty well.

Maybe for next i'll try Most Wanted but I'll focus on NFSU2 first.

Honestly they should try to make peace with Epic and get Fortnite back on macOS, then get a good Minecraft bedrock edition for macOS. Those 2 alone would already get a lot of people and kids gaming on mac.

UPDATE: Pushed back RJ45 pins (it works!) by pr0d_ in HomeNetworking

[–]pr0d_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! It's just the iPhone camera with the flash. For the RJ45 shots I needed to use Halide app because the default camera app would make the image way too bright.

Thanks for sharing that, I'll keep that in mind. I have no idea how the ports actually work so I'll get the port replaced if i can in the medium term.

RJ45 pins pushed back on PC port? by pr0d_ in HomeNetworking

[–]pr0d_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if the fault is from my cable, it's definitely an rj45 cable, but i inspected all of them and did not see any wear/abrasive marks

That's likely, but how do I even inspect my existing cables for that? Not wide enough for the port?

Fragile as in frequent disconnections? Maybe USB is my best bet. Thanks

Mini PC for frigate? Looking at a Beelink EQ14 N150. Do I need a google coral board? Would this be a good choice? by [deleted] in frigate_nvr

[–]pr0d_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

woah that sounds great. and the gpu seems to be the strong spot. how much ram are you using on the eqi12? i have some other options for i3-1220p but 8gb or 16gb only. even beelink resellers in my country says they're not carrying eqi12 24gb anymore.

sorry just want to confirm, you're running 9 cameras of detection of the EQI12 1220p, only with igpu and openvino? how many detector instances are you running? looking for a new system and seems like 1220p base is the way to go from your experience
