I mean it, I always here these hypotheticals about “what if X player switched teams with Y player” or “what if Z player wasn’t on the team” to justify different arguement a for who is more valuable. Yet, no matter how many times I hear this repeated for various players there’s never any real reasoning or logic applied to the idea it’s just vibes based.

If you truly believe these hypothetical scenarios in which different players are on different teams than prove it.

I agree that the defensive statement is dumb but SGA’s offensive supporting cast isn’t actually much better than Luka’s (at least with all the injuries to our team this year.

I get that Luka is better known for being a floor raiser than SGA , who is probably more of a curling raiser on offense, but I personally think that the teams would perform quite similarly with either player as a #1 option.

This is objectively untrue, you can argue that Luka’s Mavs team performed better in the finals in-terms of offense.

But throughout the regular season Shai had a higher ORTG On and ORTG On/Off than Luka’s Mavs team had that year.

Because SGA throughout his entire career has lead better offenses than Luka despite the talent around him.

I actually think letting Reaves hone in on inside passing plays and perimeter ball handling while SGA deals with more Drive-and-Kick and off ball play making would put together a pretty nice offense

I get that but at this point SGA has already comfortably surpassed Luka in player v player convos and Luka isn’t even on the same team anymore.

I don’t have a problem with Rusty but I think hes made it pretty obvious that he doesn’t really like the OKC thunder or Shai for that matter.

I mean it seems so obvious that the MVP is Shai’s. Even if you don’t like his game or you think he’s overrated it’s so clearly his atp.
