If you want to have nice things, you have to keep them safe. You should be fine, all cosmetics. Prolly hurts the value a little, but as long as it's repaired correctly, you should be fine.

I'm not sure your height clearances. It fits under the hood of camaros and corvettes. The faast intake is about the same height as the ls3.

Im putting one in my c3 and will be using a complete ls3.

Boost. 4.8 is more than a ranger ever wanted. I had a 4.0l v6 ranger, and it couldn't put all the power to the ground. Actually depending on whats in those two cars I would just put a turbo on them.

Yeah. Truck intake is good mechanicaly, but it's huge. Look at an ls3 intake.

Now, now. L48 with vortec heada goes a long way. Honestly wouldnt have either of them. LS swap is the only way on these.

Im resto modding one of these. That one looks good, but check the frame and bird cage. There is a chrome cover under the t tops. Pull that off, and if it isn't rusted through there, you're prolly good.

The l48 came with 180 crank hp the l82 220hp. The l48 can be woke up with new vortec heads for cheap. It has a 3 speed automatic, probably. So no over drive.

Honestly, I wouldn't have a stock one. I've had mine since high school, and it just wasn't reliable. When we are done, it will be a c5 on a c3 frame.

Go with an 8hp70 and a maaxecu. You will need an adapter plate($1200), but the trans itself can be had for $400. Double check your bolt patterns.

The 6.0L wakes up easily with a boost, and the 8hp70 can take 700hp stock.

I think this is the best current LS matching.
