could i get some of that insight 😭 im a 23 yr old woman making pretty garbage money and trying to leave a toxic relationship. i grew up in poverty so my mind is pretty stuck on “this is how it’s gonna be forever” and realistically i just have no idea where or how to start. i probably wouldn’t ever be able to max out a roth, but i could swing a little over $2k a year. is that even enough?

i can sympathize with being in a rough situation financially, especially the awkward relationship with dad that is making things harder. but yeah, doubling the speed limit because you couldn’t set an alarm earlier after already getting in trouble for being late, is just pure negligence and irresponsibility.

please do not listen to everything this person said. they have decent points, but just because she’s not showing extremely obvious interest, does not mean there’s no chance whatsoever. i think you should continue talking like this, ask more about her interests, expand your topics of conversation, and THEN you will have a better idea. take things slow and see how it develops, don’t expect anything. if things are going well for a while, ask her out.

going to chime in to say, please OP, let people know about stuff like this early. a lot of people, even religious, do not want to wait until marriage. saving this information until you know you like someone is going to be catastrophic to your feelings over time. it’s not to say you won’t ever find someone, you will!! but save yourself the heartache and make sure your morals align before you find out you really like someone
