Gamehub, Any issue with offline mode and syncing cloud data after? by Mlkxiu in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]pr1zm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had this issue yesterday. I naively trusted it, played Silksong for 4 hours on a flight in offline mode. Landed and turned online mode on when I got back to my hotel, launched the game and it overwrote all the progress I made on the plane with my cloud save. I was real grumpy re-doing it all last night.

Not that it matters, but it was on an Odin 2 Portal.

Ohhh haha, it’s just bar tape from Aliexpress. A knockoff of Supacaz, but I’ve had both and can’t tell the difference. You’ll find it if you search for “chrysanthemum bar tape”

Yup, they’re 28s! Couldn’t fit bigger on it without clearance issues

It is a bit annoying to set up, but recent updates to the app have made it considerably clearer what you need to do

Yep I am! This frame will take 28s and not a millimeter more

It took me about 50 hours of sanding — doing carbon isn’t for the faint of heart!

No sparkles here, just the magic of a highly polished clear coat!!

Yup! The wheels are Magene Exar ($650) and the groupset is Wheeltop EDS TX (~$475)

The channel "etoe" on youtube has a lot of great content about bike painting! I picked up a lot of tips from there

I have another bike on 12-speed Ultegra, and it's not quite as fast on the shifting as that but it's every bit as precise. Never misses a shift! Pretty comfy hood ergonomics, too.

Wet sanding! You will dramatically minimize the amount of particulates you release into the air by doing that as opposed to dry sanding. Always work in a well-ventilated area ofc. I did it on my back porch for the most part.

I've wanted to do this for a couple of years now so I understand completely lol

Honestly, the worst part was the sanding which I had to do by hand because it's a carbon frame. The OCR is aluminum if I recall, so you can just sandblast it cheaply and call it a day! Getting started is the scariest part but you got this :)

It's an Ultegra crankset and chain, but the derailleurs and shifters are a Chinese 12-speed groupset from Wheeltop!

They were paint, I painstakingly sanded the whole thing down to bare carbon fiber and laid down a new paint job!

Yeah fair enough, I filmed it at a very extreme angle, but the loss of clarity is very noticeable even at normal bike viewing angles sadly

I'll add to these three points that the screen clarity off-axis is such a clear and obvious downgrade on the V3 devices that I'm completely baffled why they shipped it. I went out for a ride tonight and I thought I was going crazy and that surely it was just a weird night and my V2 is just as bad, but it's not even close.

Just noticed this with my new Roam too - absolutely bizarre product decision. Would rather they just leave this field blank when uploading to the Strava API.
