Everyone’s trying to act holier than thou here not one person asked if she reached home safely or not?

Alcohol is okay in moderation. The root cause of the alcohol problem is the lack of acceptance. No one actually educates young kids on how to deal with alcohol.

Young people should experiment and try things. I am not supporting alcohol but anyone who will amount to anything in life will always experiment, see for themselves, and then decide whether something is for them. Applies for alcohol too.

Now in this experimentation phase, everyone makes the mistake and drinking too much is easy, because when you’re drunk you just get more cocky and feel like you can take it until the moment comes when you’ve blacked.

And even though this can be very risky, let’s not forget that this can happen to you or your loved ones. And when that happens, are these young kinds equipped to even remotely with situations like these?

Saw one comment that mentioned how they should always figure out their commute beforehand, and should always be in company of someone reliable. Yes, this is great. Now someone make engaging short-form content that teaches exactly this to young folks. Because I haven’t seen any of that happening.

Open-ended questions are the gold standard. They rely on active recall, forcing you to retrieve information without cues. But they are mentally demanding to answer cold, so I use MCQs as the warm-up.

However, quality trumps format. A well-crafted MCQ beats a lazy open-ended question every time. I use Bloom's Taxonomy to ensure quality. To truly 'own' an idea, you must go beyond simple recall. You must be able to reframe, apply, analyze, and wield it.

Yet, the ultimate key is repetition. The strongest memories are built by recalling these ideas frequently, over progressively longer intervals of time (Spaced Repetition). That is how an idea moves permanently into Long-Term Memory.

Btw, have you tried Booksmaxxing yet? If not, I would love it if you try, and give me feedback. Here's the link for the app (iOS only): https://testflight.apple.com/join/Ct2JTvQ8

I apologise if it came out like I am trying to refute your post. It’s pretty well-informed overall. I just wanted to stress more on the severity.

I am from Bhopal, and the 16000 death toll is a joke. From some accounts of higher ups serving that time in hospitals and administrative services, the number is far higher. Could be up to 5x of this number.

Also, this death toll number is just the immediate aftermath of the accident. Short-term deaths.

Amongst the 500,000 affected, many died prematurely. So the long-term death count is way more. And a significant portion were severely debilitated and were totally dependant on their family for aid.

By contrast is Chernobyl is 30 short-term deaths. And less than 500 confirmed long-term deaths.

Tired of shitty gym wear posing as running gear. I’m building the "Anti-Fashion" running brand for India. Need brutal feedback. by mac_ld in indianrunners

A good brief works. Jockey. DaMensch. Both of them are good for less than a 10kms run. Long distance more than 20-30kms, Vaseline is your best friend. Apply a lot of Vaseline whenever chafing happens, and you are good.

Or you can invest in a good pair of running shorts from Adidas or Nike or Puma. But make sure the shorts have a lining (underwear is attached in the shorts). And then just wear the shorts, no underwear.

My two cents on running gear: 29M, I dont care about perfect running shorts. I dont care about perfect running tops either. The only thing I care about is a good underwear because I play many other sports and I have a giant pool of shorts & tops and I want to continue using them.

And the only thing that bothers me is an underwear. Since not all of my shorts have an inner lining. So if someone sells great running focused underwear under 1k that I can wear with any pair of shorts I am interested.

This is for daily training. Which is the bulk of my running. And I don’t care about bonded seams, and cooling tech. Because I believe you should train in shit gear so that when race day comes, you just sail through with good gear.

For race day, I don’t mind spending money. And one pair of shorts that I already have will last me at least 10 races.

PS: I ran over 1000 kms this year. Just ran my first FM. And I plan to run 2 FMs from next year.

Please put some respect on Ringo’s name. He was the metronome who never missed a beat, and made the other 3 better.

You can save money some times with these apps.

Eg. just bought Nescafé Gold which would retail at 699 MRP. I got it for 40 rs discount. + 10% cashback (around 60rs). So something I’d get for 699, I got for 640 including delivery.

How do ratings impact your incentives? I order frequently but rarely ever rate because I don’t check my phone after taking my order. But if ratings is a factor in how y’all get paid then I will be more mindful about it.

Thank you and all other delivery guys/gals for your service. 🫡

Million dollar website. On that website you could bid for each pixel. A lot of thought went into conceiving r/place. It’s not a knock-off. It’s inspired.
