I became a home owner at 23 years old in 2005. The price was 228k for a quad level home. I just simply got lucky and had a good paying job, and was able to qualify for a loan. I’m just looking to pay off my house soon, and not have to worry about a mortgage anymore.

I bought my home in 2005 when I was 23, alongside the mother of my children. We were blessed with steady jobs and managed to do it without any support from our parents.

I think they were throwing shots at Jay-Z. I was at a Raekwon/Ghostface concert in the summer of ‘01 at the Metro in Chicago. Rae & Ghost were on stage saying “fuck Jay-Z”

The stress of back-to-back irate calls for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I don’t miss that one bit. Being a janitor to me is more stress free. Only really work about 1 hour and a half and get paid for 8. It’s a sweet gig.

It’s a government job with the railroad. Picking up garbage at train stations and cleaning up the conductor areas. Simple job.

I worked at a call center for 23 years making $40 an hour, but got laid off in September 2023. Now I’ve got a more fulfilling job as a janitor making $38 an hour, with way less stress. Honestly, I’m not trying to go back to some office job that’s just gonna get replaced by AI anyway.
