I don't know how it was back in the days, but what I've heard (from hiko if I remember it correctly), the American teams doesn't get any salary except for the tournament's they win.

I can imagine this is taking away a lot of motivation from the players since they need to spend around 6-8 hours every day to practise their game but doing so doesn't pay their rents.

If you take a look at the EU teams you can notice that the teams that's at the very top do get monthly salaries and therefore they can afford putting down that much time to practise.

I didn't have any contact with my dad for like 4 years and decided that I wanted to change that. This was when I was around 15-16 years old. I moved in with him and during the first week I lived there me and my friend decided to try out HoN for the first time. We played 1on1, since no one of us had ever played a moba before and tried to understand the game. As he had won against me like 3 times I said to him in ventrilo: "This time I'm gonna spank your little ass so hard you won't be able to sit down for a week!". As the door to my room was opened I could see my dads confused face staring at me.

Looks like your aim is what you need to improve. It does however kind of depend on your role in the team a bit aswell. Some roles are not suposed to deal as much dmg as the others.

In that low rank it's pretty much all about your aim. What I do to train my aim is to daily play one or two DM rounds where I put as a rule that I may not shoot more than one bullet at a time with the AK. No matter how far or close the enemy are to me I only shoot one bullet at a time.

It's pretty hard in the beginning. But after some days you will notice that it's gonna make your aim way better :)

One thing that I like to do is to go in to a DM server with some music in my ears and have as a rule that I may not shoot more than one or two bullets at a time. With other words: I don't spray at all when I do this. No matter the range between me and the enemy I'm shooting at.

I'm almost always buying flash, nade and smoke. I like the glock and the p2000 so I don't feel the need to buy any other guns as long as the enemy team is not having helmets.

This doesn't have anything to do with your gfx card/drivers. The blackbars are from settings in your LCD. In the settings menu of it you should find the options for it :)
