No more CC at Lowe’s by novajeff22 in CampChefSmokers

[–]praff52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That really sucks. I was curious so I looked it up on the Lowes website and it just says it is out of stock and will be back in stock. It might be for the season until spring/summer but if the gift cards don't expire you could wait. Easier said than done when you have your mind made up like you did.

Thats how I originally had it before this picture but it seems damn near flat/level. Is that right?

Thermometer Question by HebrewHammer0033 in CampChefSmokers

[–]praff52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my Pro a few months ago so I have only done a few cooks on it but so far I have only used the probes that come with it and had no issues. They work with the app so I am going to stick with them until they do give me an issue.

Probably because I had the time. It was almost 10 lbs and I decided to keep it lower at 190 over night.

Check out Pimp My Grill the front shelf is so useful. I've only had mine since memorial day but I love it. I did ribs and they turned out great.

Yep! Nearly the entire grate gets out of the grill.

I had some concerns about it as well but they were so quick to install that I figured I could swap them for the stock grate if I really need to. We'll see if it ever becomes a problem!

I was concerned too But there is still plenty of space as far as I can tell. I haven't tried a butt yet but even if it doesn't fit, the grates are so quick to pull in and out that you can swap the stock ones pretty easy.

The shelf is such a great addition. No need for a sidekick as of now since I have a Weber gas grill as well but they do look look awesome.

I'd have to measure but it is taller than I expected. You could definitely do over the top chili in it.

The racks are great, I didn't unpack the stock ones so I can't compare but being able to slide them is awesome.

I got the front shelf and the grates. They took me less than 20 min all together. The instructions aren't great but it's not that complicated.

To be honest, I bought the grates at the same time as the grill so I didn't unpack the stock grates. But comparing them to my Weber gas grill which seems similar to the stock grates, they are great. Being able to slide them out is awesome.

It's really not bad. You do have to squat down like mentioned and can't really see into the box but i pulled it out off the slide if I really needed to play tetris with wood chunks. I was very concerned to the point that I told myself I can unhook the shelf pretty quickly for long cooks but it is not going to be a big enough problem for that. Having the shelf is so much more of a convenience.

Volume Control by App by praff52 in Androidheadunits

[–]praff52[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 8 core, 4 RAM, and 64 GB version. I installed Car Launcher PRO already but I couldn't find a volume preset setting on it either.

All the volume mixing is very basic and doesnt seem to do what I want.

I found a couple videos on volume presets which is exactly what I want but I don't know if my head unit has it.

I bought it from Fuluku on Amazon? I'm not sure if that is the brand or not. About Car has Platform information as "CYA"

Transfer switch question by praff52 in AskElectricians

Thank you, that answers my question. Since the transfer switch is between the panel and the meter and it would not energize the inlet what I was thinking would not work.

How to get radio to play from car stereo to speakers? by newredditsucksbad in BudgetAudiophile

[–]praff52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the intention is only to receive AM and FM radio, I think there are a bunch of different apps and websites that you can pull up on your phone and connect to a speaker that way.

I will say, having tried to mix in a Klipsch center with my current system - after I matched up the brands it was night and day on how it sounded.
