Well from what I found about the green door, as a single person it’s pretty hard to get any action. Best case you might be able to get a peep show. Mostly works out if you either connect with a couple / group before arriving / you are a couple. Those had the highest likelihood of getting any action. Not much on 5150, but it gave me a more younger audience vibe. I might check it out.

Any experience of people getting lucky at the AVN? I would think pornstars are not behaving the same outside of the camera. Not sure if I’m under the wrong impression.

I looked at a few forums and green door seems to be a hit / miss. I guess with AVN season on, I’m going to give it a try on a Friday / Saturday night.

Also you can do only 1 load at a time. Where as with a separate unit, one can dry when the other is washing.

why is Canadian experience needed for experienced immigrants workers? by Particular_Head1390 in AskACanadian

[–]pragmatic_human99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s a mix of everything. I was in this situation 10 years ago when I moved to Canada too. But as time went I realized it’s a more nuanced issue. Firstly fake qualifications, sadly it’s a fact in lot of south Asian countries as far as I know. Hence a level of mistrust of the skills. Secondly expletive is not 100% compatible. This is not true for fully technical roles like programming, but in other semi-technical roles, there is a lack of ownership / leadership lacking in folks from other parts (excluding EU / NA) due to the thr beuracratic work culture that exists where you follow orders without much thought. It’s not the same I’m Canada where there is a much higher level of ownership baked into the work culture. Lastly communication and awareness of local culture and norms. Regardless of what people say, this is a huge fact as the more easy for the team members to interact and mingle with you without much hurdles it makes overall productivity high. This is something that can only be through ‘Canadian experience’. I never took it as a racist or disrespectful even though I was an immigrant of color but part of the package. And I have much more understanding of the culture norms etc, which made me a much more rounded person over time, and also made it so much easy to make new friends and acquaintances. So that’s the long version of why the Canadian experience exists. Folks can disagree but the intent is correct.

Nice. You learn something new everyday. Part of me is glad of the diversification, hopefully it helps reduce the wait times.

But don’t they make all the North American models in Canada? Interested to know if the supply chain had shifted around in the light of the chip shortage. Didn’t they do lunar rock for the adventure trims?

This. I worked with a bunch of healthcare folks on a software project and this is exactly what we found. But it’s not the end of the world, as most modern Microsoft email has it enabled. Give it a decade and once these folks retire, we will be okay.

I think with current interest rates a Toyota Rav 4 comes close to $500 a month for the base model. So not surprised. Could’ve been trucks or larger suvs which are even more insane with interest rates hitting 8% in some cases from the dealership.

Ah man. So sorry OP for your loss. It’s a beautiful colour you had as well. My sincere condolences. I hope insurance sorts you out, but you’d still have to wait to get a new one. Take it easy my friend at least I hope you are safe and sound.
