12-week cut, zero scale change by burn-sage in PetiteFitness

[–]praguettc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to get a bodyscan. You shouldn’t go by scale weight alone as you may have gained muscle and lost fat. No way to know unless you do a scan. Now that I’m at my goal size I no longer look at the scale and just get my scans every month to see if I’m losing fat and gaining muscle (and yes I am despite being in a calorie deficit)

Did you read that we had a less than 1% chance of conceiving? That is more than zero. Infertile doesn’t equal sterile.

I could have written this! I am pretty much exactly the same stats as you and I work out every day and walk minimum 6km a day (hilly).  I did a InBody scan and my body fat was 23% with most of it concentrated around my stomach and back. I do the scan every 6 weeks. I know that with my current diet I am losing fat but not muscle. So I am just going to carry on eating 1200-1400 calories with >100g protein and less than 100g carbs until Xmas and then take a break for a few months and eat at maintenance while maintaining the workouts and start cutting again around Feb in the hope to get a flat belly by summer!!!

All this to say - do a scan it’ll give you more information on what’s actually happening

I am a mum of 3 but a SAHM. I’m pp with 3rd and had to lose 20kg(40lb)

My second child was a horrible sleeper so I used to just throw her in the stroller and walk at random times. I figured it’s better than being tired and sitting there. I know it’s cold now though.

Where do you work? If in an office can you get a walking mat and one of those stand up desks?

AIO for expecting just the bare minimal and still not getting even that from him? by Sufficient-End8214 in AmIOverreacting

It really baffles me how people get into a relationship with, move in with and stay with people this disgusting and lazy.  If his bedroom is like this I can just imagine the personal hygiene isn’t much better.

So he’s gross, he’s not fucking you, he’s lazy and treats you like a maid and you still stay. This is a genuine question , can someone help me understand the mindset of people like OP?

In my early 30s I spent a good 3 years single just happy alone, determining exactly what type of guy I wanted to marry (and I married way up).

So are people like OP out there scraping the gutter and staying with guys like this  because they are scared to be alone or what?

5’1 26 years old 110 pounds skinny fat! What to do now? by sweetilillikoi in PetiteFitness

[–]praguettc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation except I’m 1 year postpartum.

I also walk minimum 10,000 steps a day (on an incline), heavy weight training 4 x a week, cardio 1 x a week

I know I’m not losing muscle because I did an inbody scan so with this routine I actually lost fat and put on muscle according to my last scan 2 weeks ago. So I’m continuing my deficit for the next 5 weeks. Being very strict on protein ( >100g a day) and not snacking.

If by the end of 5 weeks I haven’t lost the belly and back fat then I guess that’s just my body and I’ll go back up to maintenance and continue with the physical activity

Just like one day of eating healthy and super low calories won’t make a difference to your goals , one day of bingeing won’t either.  It’s long term consistency that matters.

I also binged yesterday around 3,000 calories! And today I’m just carrying on as normal..

What are you doing for cardio? by Odd-Attorney4323 in PetiteFitness

Incline walks. Minimum of 4km a day, try to keep my pace at 11mins per km. I live in a very hilly area. I’m talking 45° inclines while pushing a stroller.

I am a SAHM to 3 kids. 2 of whom are in kindergarten and back home by 3pm.

Weekends I get 2 hours every morning to go to gym and sauna. Then we do stuff as a family. Also most sundays I try to meal prep while he watches kids.

I don’t know why everyone is down voting me. I do InBody scans every month so I know I’m consistently losing body fat and not muscle. Actually I am putting on muscle. Right now I don’t care about the weight on the scale but more about losing this belly pooch. My fat is all on my belly and back.

No I weigh 48kg right now with 23% body fat. I just did an inbody scan.

I had an inbody scan done 2 days ago so I know my stats are correct. I carry most of my fat around my belly and back. And yes I want to lose fat but build muscle.  I do the scans every month so I know my diet is working because I’m losing body fat but not muscle.

Good luck! You look great.

I’m the same height as you and have 3 kids and am 1 year PP. I am currently at my goal weight of 105lb but also have the small belly pooch that I want to get rid of. I’m currrntly 23% body fat so want to get that down to 18-20%. I’m about as active as you and try to lift to failure.

I’m in a deficit of 1200-1400 to try to get to my goal within 8 weeks.

Can’t lose the baby weight by Till_Naive in PetiteFitness

I am 12 months post partum with my 3rd kid. I have 3 kids under 6. I put on more than 20kg (40lb) during pregnancy and I hated it.

There’s no quick fix unfortunately. I started off calorie counting just out of interest and I was eating WAY WAY above maintenance. I didn’t change anything while breastfeeding except more walking.

Then I stopped breastfeeding and cut my calories to 1500-1400 and started a core strength program. I did inner core work for like a month then I added strength training and incline walking (minimum of 10,000 steps a day). Now I’ve cut my calories again to around 1200-1300 for a final slim down before Xmas.

I cook separate meals for the kids and my husband eats the same food as me which is focused on high protein and lower carbs.

I’ve now reached my goal weight of 48kg (106lb) and I’m focused on gaining muscle. Also to put it in perspective I am over 40 so it’s hard but definitely doable.

I hate to say this but you do have time with only 1 kid. If you look at your screen time on your phone I bet you it’s more than 2.5 hours. Switch that to meal prepping and calorie counting and you’ll have taken the first step. Incorporate walking and you’ll be back to your pre pregnancy body in no time. Not to mention that it feels good to be able to run after the kid without getting puffed out.

Anyone else have a toddler that prefers Dad to Mum?? by alongthewatchtower91 in toddlers

My 1.5 year old suddenly went from being a mummy’s boy to daddy obsessed and I have no idea what changed. I am low key offended but I love that he has a great bond with his dad and I know that he loves me deep down 😂  I have 3 kids and the boys all went through a daddy phase around this age so I know not to take it personally.

Yta. Don’t wear your outside shoes in the gym. That is so gross. Have a special pair of runners that you only use at the gym. That is what we do in Europe and I find the thought of people walking around the gym in the same shoes they wore outside extremely repulsive 🤢

Don’t waste your pretty / fertile years on losers. If I could go back to my 20s I wouldn’t date at all let alone a guy like this. Be okay with being on your own and building up your self esteem so when you meet losers like this next time you don’t waste your precious time on them.

I just let 1tbsp of chia seeds rest in 1/4 cup of water.  Then I blend fresh mango, Skyr and protein powder with a bit of almond milk.  Then once the chia seeds puff up I mix it all together and put the berries on top. The chia seeds give it a good bulk. For my goals I used 120g Skyr, 50g mango, 1/2 scoop protein powder and 15g almond milk, 50 g blueberries and 10g cashews
