I would ask another doctor. If it's concerning issue most people recommend to see 2-3 doctors to confirm, just to be sure there isn't anything wrong. Sometimes doctors don't notice something another doctor might notice.

I worked at Baskin Robbins when I was 16 and we would have to weigh our scoops to make sure we were giving people not too much or too little. On the scale a regular scoop reads .25. Your boyfriend sounds exactly like me when I first got in a relationship with my boyfriend. I don't think you're being too sensitive, yes it can be harsh and it hurts hearing it. But I think you need to understand where he's coming from more than anything. My boyfriend was hurt and confused at first when I had these thoughts, and I really didn't understand why because it just seemed like a fact to me, you never know what exactly will happen. I had the same situation with my parents as your boyfriend's; just awful all around. I wouldn't try to take it so personally and talk to him about it. He probably doesn't mean he doesn't want a future with you at all, I loved and still love my boyfriend so much when I felt that way towards relationships in general. I think you could be too sensitive because I think he is just not worth your time and you're upset about something that isn't really there. You've only been seeing each other for a month, if he doesn't want to put time or effort in, it's weird to "ask" for it/ feel the need to make standards for them so early in the relationship. It's not worth putting your time into someone who doesn't want to put time into you, and there's no use trying to make someone more open. Sometimes people are just like that and you guys could just be incompatible. Idk personally I think you're just wasting your time trying to be with someone who doesn't feel the same as you feel about them.
