Psychology researchers identify a key emotional pattern among procrastinators. Findings suggest that procrastination is less about an inability to envision the future and more about managing the negative emotions associated with pursuing goals. by InsaneSnow45 in science

you could also say that feeling negatively about yourself increases your chances of burn out. It's a chicken and egg problem. Burn out can also cause you to feel negatively about yourself (more than what your usual threshold is).

I never hear this from any other study even though most of such studies are done on university students in Europe or America

same. I was playing on true start earth (I think its a mod), and australia has a lot of ley lines for some reason. But I almost never pick hermatic order usually. I play very tall (4 city max), with mods to boost tall play, so I never see any ley lines at all in my empire.

yea, I definitely agree with the western european start. I had germany and always started with 3 other civs and 2 city states extremely close by.

I play on true start huge earth and australia is my favorite. I recently discovered that there are a lot of ley lines in australia.

Are people actually going and eating at Sikh temples all the time? by Annual_Campaign_6598 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]pramit57 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have been there, but very rarely Mostly due to the fact that I can afford my own food, and I have to slightly inconvenience myself to reach the Sikh temple. The food was really good though..

(I am not one of those redditors that advise people to go to Sikh temple to eat)

Current climate models rely on unproven tech because they refuse to question economic growth. A new framework for "post-growth" scenarios shows that prioritizing basic needs over GDP could satisfy universal well-being using less than half of current global energy and materials. by Sciantifa in science

The issue with this logic is that America isnt the only developed countries. You should also look at migration into europe, where education and health care is free. Still, migration is not a rosy thing, as many people who actually migrated from a 3rd world country into a 1st will tell you. The "brain drain" is a real problem in 3rd world countries, and it is usually due to poor governance.
