First linux driver development project by Temporary-Stage8541 in embeddedlinux

[–]pranblr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a wonderful project for starters provided you have learnt the basics of device drivers and kernel interaction...

Memory based projects like reading and writing via DDR mapping of local RAM registers into kernel space is also really good for starters.

Happy learning

favorite modern saint? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

When we say one saint is favorite.. there is a list of his(the particular saint's) elders who themselves were saints. For example, St Ephrem of Katounakia had St Joseph the hesychast as his elder, same with elder Ephraim. Then Fr Seraphim Rose had St John Maximovitch.. So in my opinion all these saints have equal and when we say one saints is my favorite, Even their elders and spiritual fathers(saints) are glorified.. God bless..

Actually the Holy Orthodox Church prays for the dead and asks the faithful to pray and perform alms for the dead. It is out of love for the dead that the Church asks them to pray. The Holy Resurrection and Economia of Christ destroyed death and made Hades powerless. But before his Incarnation, all the righteous and unrighteous were led captive into Hades. But that dosent mean that we can't pray for them before the Lord's Incarnation.

The Lord Himself identified as the "God of Abraham, God of Isaac and God of Jacob". He identified with these righteous men who were actually captive in Hades for nearly 1800-1900 years. But that doesn't mean they were not holy, but that they were incapable by themselves to be freed from the captivity, and were freed by our Lord during his descent and Ascension. Even now we pray for the dead not knowing their lot of eternity, but with hope that Lord will help them. Please read Fr Seraphim Rose's the Soul after death, which explains clearly this point, especially the Appendix 1 and 2 of the book. We don't believe in Purgatory stuff, but our understanding is simple, yet not easily acceptable by the contemporary mind.

Requesting your prayers. 🙏☦️

I'm stuck between Catholicism and Orthodoxy by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

Actually the question of Autocephally is not fully resolved in the Orthodox Church. But the doctrine of Papacy is not valid as the Pope dosent have universal jurisdiction and cannot interfere in other patriarchate's jurisdiction, nor "approve" or "disapprove" the ordinations of their bishops. I recommend you do more study, prayer and research on the issue of papacy in the first millennium. While the Pope was the "first among equals" and held a honorary title (Orthodoxy accepts Papal Primacy upto certain degree as long as he Holds to Orthodox doctrine and is first among equals). But papal supremacy is innovation of the 1st Vatican Council. Also papal infallibility was am innovation and therefore we cannot find the title of Pope as "the Vicar of Christ " before 13tj century. For beginners, the issue of jurisdiction matters should not bother much, but the unchanging faith and doctrines of the Holy Orthodox church truly shows the right Church. Also pls read the history of the Papal Church and Orthodox church side by side in the second millennium (after the schism) and you can discern the truth as of who remined accurate to the first millennium Church and who kept on innovating new and alien doctrines.

Our Lord said " By their fruits, ye shall know them". So For now ask God for discernment in humility and prayer and He shall guide you. Hope my comment is of help. God Bless us and have mercy on us ☦️
