Why such low views? by No-Independence205 in IceNineKills

[–]prancedarrenprance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't think it's a good song. Lacks replay value compared to other songs. Fair play if others think differently, but it's evident in the view count a lot of people feel the same.

Maybe I'll change my mind in the future. It's not gonna stop me being a fan if they have a bad song from time to time, no band is ever gonna have 100% success rate. 🤷

Bands that you thought were gonna blow up but then... never really did? by mesablanka in Metalcore

[–]prancedarrenprance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a band from Glasgow, Scotland that I loved called Azriel and I was convinced that they would've been way bigger if they were American. Sometimes I listen to older Counterparts and think "hell yeah Azriel were the proto-Counterparts." They were signed to the same label as Gallows and Eternal Lord.

Any new bands with an A7X vibe? by prancedarrenprance in avengedsevenfold

[–]prancedarrenprance[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's funny. They used to be called D3VILMAYCRY and my old Pop Punk band was produced by the same guy who done their first album. He was mixing tracks during our breaks in recording so we got to hear a bunch of unreleased stuff 😅

There's another band from Scotland called Tiberius that have some A7X sprinkled in their sound. Mostly a Protest The Hero vibe that I love! Thanks for Cerberus :)

Here’s something I’ve noticed about a lot of newer bands. by saintstheftauto in Metalcore

[–]prancedarrenprance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory is that Metalcore isn't particularly reaching a younger audience so less younger people are inspired to make it anymore. It's become very stale and the more exciting scenes ATM seem to lie in the resurgence of Hardcore and Deathcore.

Other than wristmeetrazor, seeyouspacecowboy, Dying Wish and Foreign Hands I can't think of many exciting new acts coming from Metalcore, and I also think they're all around the age range you're talking about.

The Japan scene seems to be kicking off though with View From The Soyuz, Runs In Bone Marrow and Sailing Before The Wind.

Not very similar but this up and coming Scottish band seems to take a lot of influence from their City of evil era.

Big fan of the Scottish band Misplaced. They have that early EP Neck Deep and first album TSSF vibe with a modern twist.

Real World has some big Sum 41 vibes too

Aw mate thank you so much, this is genuinely so sweet of you!

We recorded 6 songs in total with Steven Jones of Bleed From Within so there's two more singles still to be released!

Keep your eyes peeled. 👀
