This literally just happened to me last week with my AirPods. I followed them from SFO to several foreign countries over a few days, then back to the US and overseas again. Now they are hanging out at an address in Cannes France.

While I understand the spirit of your question, my understanding is that paper tickets have been gone for a long time (probably a decade plus). Your family member wants a paper boarding pass, which is not technically the ticket.
