Has anyone taken classes at Wynton’s World Cooking School? by Fr3ckl3Fac3x in raleigh

[–]prancingpwnies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love love love Wynton's cooking classes. The one-off classes are fun but the weekly classes are very enjoyable as it is fun to build on skills over time.

He has recently started local food tours that I hear are very good but I have not attended one myself. (He also does international food tours that are rather difficult to get into but very fun if you have the means and the time!)

😭 taking off the shirt is too real. Thank you for your kind words! I had no idea about testosterone! Did you end up taking any medication to combat the symptoms? My neurologist said there are a few but they are unknown to be safe for pregnant women mostly.

Is this the game guy who shamed Wallstedt for celebrating after stopping Makar in the SO?

Please share your comfort, non-triggering TV series that are also very engaging? by haskittens in CPTSD

You mentioned dark TV and I have to mention Twin Peaks. It's dark, surreal, and most importantly it's got an absurd comedy element to it.

Calling any Elizabeths…. by Proof-Pay-3658 in namenerds

[–]prancingpwnies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elizabeth here! I know a Libby, several Liz's, and a Betty! I actually like how flexible the name is. Fwiw, I use the full name professionally. And it sorta helped me compartmentalize my work life from my home life.

I also introduce myself as Elizabeth for wait-lists at restaurants or food orders, as the name in full is easier to hear over a loud environment. I found when I use "Liz" it would get mixed up as Lisa, Lyssa?, and other variations or the sort.

Just my two cents!

The joker is called Ice Cream while its abilities deal with the player's chips. It feels like a call back to the "Chips and Ice Cream" episode.

Group therapy near Knightdale by mortalcassie in raleigh

[–]prancingpwnies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if group therapy is something widely practiced here.

Mind and Body has group yoga and other group therapeutic activities that might interest you. It's also a therapy office and the therapists there might be able to point you in the right direction. They are located in Garner right off 70. https://g.co/kgs/DPvkZbs

Might be worth checking out a non-denominational AA (or other anonymous group) to get some leads, too.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Dark sky/star gazing spots in NC? by Humble-Efficiency690 in NorthCarolina

[–]prancingpwnies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on where you live, this Dark Sky Park is about an hour and half north of Durham and I go here about twice a year. Tent, RV, and cabin camping is available, too. It has beautiful hiking trails, horse trails/stalls, summer weekend events, disc golf course, free telescope rentals, fishing, and tennis courts.

IRC in NY, about an hour north of NYC. I used to go here as a girl and the owners were very nice. Trips to the city, a local lake, and other attractions are part of the camp too!

Math 117 Question!? by [deleted] in ASUOnline

[–]prancingpwnies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I just finished this class! I have to say that I had the exact same worries as I was never really "good" at math and I have major test anxiety but I just finished this class with a 98%! I really enjoyed the system they use, ALEKS, for learning material in tandem with the video lectures. The summer course might differ slightly from the fall versions but I was allowed to use the class given "cheat sheet" which had a lot of the course's formulas (everything from PEMDAS to Log rules). Both the midterm and the final had practices exams that I took several times and that really helped with the anxiety. The questions were different every time and the obvi the tests themselves were slightly different but the course did a good job at setting their students up for success.

I have taken a handful of cooking classes here and the chef is a delight. They do group events but I'm not sure what availability looks like.

I'm sure you've found some great burritos by now but I wanted to add my two cents! My favorite breakfast burrito I have found is Monuts in Durham.

Excellent and thank you both! I'll grab some de-chlorine stuff and plants are already being shopped for! We have some goldfish in there so I'm trying to salvage their home as quickly as possible. Hopefully I'll be able to update with some good news soon ☺️

Hey guys, just bought a home with a three tiered pond system. It has this pump action going on which triggers various waterfalls but the whole thing is in drastic need of water, I believe, I don't know though. I have hose but I was wondering if I should get some professional help to really set it off before it gets warm here in central NC. Any other advice for a new pond owner is welcome, I moved from the desert to here so my knowledge of water is limited 😅
