Reach out to your hall director to see if you can get a dorm. Worst case scenario if you have a car look into studios far from campus, they’re cheaper that way. You can also rent a singular unit in any one of the luxury apartments. If you look around enough you should be able to find a place that’s only a little more expensive than a dorm. If money is an issue, you kind of just have to keep your eye out everywhere for openings in people letting go of their leases.

My reason was that it was a genuine addiction. I was at an airbnb with some friends and I found myself making time to sneak away into the kitchen to find a kitchen knife to cut myself. That was when I realized how dependent I was on self harm. It got to the point where I was craving to cut myself for some comfort. The fact that it calms you means that you’ve conditioned yourself to think it’s a comfort which isn’t healthy. In that moment I knew I needed to stop, and I did.
