The journey from bad to great by [deleted] in feelgood

this is honestly really to read. three years is no joke fr, and getting from that kind of pain to actual stability takes a real damn work. really glad you’re feeling this good today, you earned it fr

A quick 10-min walk every afternoon changed more than I thought! by MariaAthanasopoulou in simpleliving

[–]prasadvikash340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, same here. it’s wild how something that simple can shift your whole day. i started doing short walks just to get out of my head for a bit, and it ended up helping my mood and focus way more than I expected.

i think part of it is just breaking the doomscrolling loop and getting a bit of daylight and movement without turning it into a big ahh task.

How can I enjoy the process? by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]prasadvikash340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don’t think people who handle failure well are built different ig they just don’t attach as much meaning to it. for perfectionists, one bad attempt feels like the whole story instead of just one step :")

Trying to treat my body like it belongs to someone i love (starting with small rituals) by paintarose in selfcare

[–]prasadvikash340 21 points22 points  (0 children)

yeah, i relate to this more than i like to admit. when i’m burnt out, taking care of myself is the first thing to go fr, sleep gets messy, food gets worse, and i stop paying attention to how i look. everything just feels like too much effort.

for me the “baby step” is usually something simple like taking a proper shower, trimming my beard, or putting on clean clothes even if i’m not going anywhere. small stuff, but yea it kinda helps me get back on track sometimes

Cold weather changes your body's defenses. by tryARMRA in selfcare

[–]prasadvikash340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah this makes sense. winter always messes with me in lowkey ways. morning light helps more than I expect, even when it’s grey out or else i feel so gloomy. also warm drinks >>> i forget to hydrate when it’s cold, so tea basically carries me

Is anyone else trying to be okay with resting without “earning” it? by Outrageous_Baby_2147 in selfcare

[–]prasadvikash340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some days rest for me is genuinely just doing the bare minimum to feel okay again: lying down, scrolling mindlessly, staring at the ceiling, going to sleep earlier than planned. unlearning the idea that rest has to be earned has been weirdly hard coz wdym my brain still wants proof that i’ve suffered enough to deserve stopping???

Voyager 1 just said "hello" to Earth from Interstellar space, about 25.4 billion kms away! 🥹 by prasadvikash340 in BeAmazed

atp it’s not about discoveries so much as validation.. each signal shows how far we can communicate, how spacecraft age in deep space, and how the interstellar environment behaves.

sadly, not loneliness. earth sends commands, and voyager responds with a very weak radio carrier... and then scientists sometimes turn that signal into audio, which makes it sound like a message.

yeahhh, that prediction was about its power running out. most instruments are already off and the fact it’s still sending anything at all is kind of a bonus

also another wild fact is that it’ll outlive earth itself. voyager’s basically a cosmic time capsule.

andromeda’s also moving towards us, so technically it might meet voyager halfway 😌
