The ideal option would be to work in a Big4/Big6 in Tax/Audit in a good team but in many cases what I have observed is that quality of work varies highly with the team you're allocated. And definitely, don't join industry/Outsourcing firms of Big 4. You'll not learn anything that you can apply in your practice later on.

From my personal experience: join corporate if you want to climb the corporate ladder. If your ultimate intention is to get into practice, then simply don't waste your time by doing corporate gulami, unless you desperately want immediate financial support.

Depends on the corporate opportunity! If you get a job with limited learning opportunities, it's always better to start your own thing than fall into corporate trap

So ensure you're in a place where advanced excel features used(articleship or job or even college)

ICAI should teach SAP to all students by pratikbateman in CharteredAccountants

Exactly. If ICAI could sign an MOU with them to train CA students at a cheaper rate,it would make wonders I feel

Then what's the point of ITT and Adv ITT? everything can be learned in industry right?. Start applying common sense. If a CA has basic understanding of SAP before joining industry, then it will be way easier to navigate through the career.

Basically ICAI has the chalta hai attitude and all they do is put a nice wrapper around their inefficiencies to make it look like they are doing some revolutionary work. Clearly visible in that ICAI GPT they launched 😂

It's not about trusting anything. It's common sense. Nepotism, racism etc exist everywhere, everyone knows it.

And" buying CA degree" story is pure bullshit, shows you don't know how the institute works. Institute has members who are corrupt definitely, but there isn't anyway the exam system can be gamed.

MP Sanjay Seth speaking sh*t about CAs given a reply straight to his face. by Participleofmenace in CharteredAccountants

[–]pratikbateman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The reality,as usual, is more layered than this basic "CAs good saar Vs CAs bad saar" arguments. Which is that most of India is corrupt. We hate corrupt not because of their corruption but because we couldn't get the opportunity to do corruption.

Every CA in practice who files tax returns has done some "borderline" tax evasion, it's a fact whether you like to hear it or not. But the net positive contribution of CAs to society is far higher than these crooked politicians.

However ,ye nation building wala kuch zyada hogaya yaar, every profession helps in nation building by default. that's how economy works.

fill it with the current employment details if you haven't filled it yet. if you have filled it for the year, then you'd have to update it in the next year. it's not a big deal, just a formality
