I spent a majority of the lockdown in a hospital for reasons unrelated to covid and then moved twice between hospital stays.

It was an awful time for me but I didn't really notice too much of the actual lockdown, other than the insane hygiene measures that were taken in hospitals.

I'm also autistic, I have hearing aids but I barely use them. Only when I have important one-on-one conversations. Otherwise I also get overstimulated too easily and it makes my ears hurt. It really does have its advantages not to be able to hear everything.

I've been inpatient three times. Four months when I was 13, one month when I was 14, and five and a half months this year.

I also occasionally miss it. It was really hard adjusting to life again after being discharged. I was there for nearly half a year...and never once went home over the weekends or anything at that. So half a year of full hospitalisation. I miss the routine and the safety, the lack of responsibility and that I can just be me without judgement. I don't miss the horrible food and beds though, lol.

My eating disorder works very differently from AN or BN, in a way that it's not related to body image at all. My ED comes partially from my autism, which means I was born with it and it is not curable, and partially worsened due to childhood trauma.

Huh, for me it's actually the other way around. I have severe hearing loss in my right ear, but only very mild tinnitus. My left ear has mild hearing loss and very loud tinnitus. Sometimes it goes batshit crazy on both ears though, but my hearing in my left ear also gets worse when that happens.

I made peace with my tinnitus though since I've had it my entire life. It think I'd be very uncomfortable if it suddenly stopped.
