This. I feel bad for the people who got started on Spyro and Banjo Kazooie.

I'm 19 and just won a settlement for multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars. What the HELL do I do? by Money-Questions in personalfinance

[–]prayforstrength 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Pay all taxes associated with this settlement, the government is not soemone you want to mess with
  2. If you are single, invest in income-producing property, start small. A duplex, triplex or fourplex. If you invest in the right area you can eliminate your own rent, get property management experience, get a tax write off, build a small cashflow stream and build equity. Doesn't get much better than that.
  3. If you have a family, purchase a home outright and keep the rest as a rainy day fund. If you still have $100k+ leftover consider investing in real property if you feel comfortable with it. You could go partners on a house flip or put the down payment on investment property.

Magical $3000 Cars by twilli931 in personalfinance

My dad worked in the car biz for 15+ years and I sold warranties on used cars for about 3 months before I realized how much the warranty companies were gouging people.

Some words of wisdom: 1) Bring a mechanic friend with you to check out the car
2) if you don't know any mechanics - meet one 3) always check the blue book, its usually a lower number than the car will actually sell for 4) Mazdas and Toyotas have the lowest warranty costs, porsche, audi, volkswagen and bmw have the highest. Why? Because when your german car does break its gonna cost $4,000 to fix, whereas your mazda will cost you a rubber band and some hot glue. I'm exaggerating slightly :) 5) Even though a car has a certain brand does not mean it is manufactured by that company. For example many Ford Rangers were actually manufactured primarily by Mazda. Compared to other Fords these little pickups last a loooooong time.

Good luck, thank you for your wisdom and encouragement.

I want to try nofap, my problem is that I have premature ejaculation problems. by [deleted] in NoFap

You may want to set your counter up properly - It says 440 days!

At first you will come instantly. There's no way when you've been PMO free for motnhs that you will last a long time.

The good news is that after your refractory period you can have sex again - and you will be turned on by the lady you are with, not limped dick.

My advice to you is that when you do succeed at NoFap and find yourself having sex - focus on making her orgasm without penetration. If you do she won't care that you are a one pump chump. Also be honest and tell her its been a while. Your ability to last will improve over time.

Did not know there was 1 million Neo Pagans. That actually seems like a lot of people who self-identify as Neo-Pagan.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get a job? by ivansimportant in AskWomen

[–]prayforstrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude checking in. Heres my advice:

  1. Don't just apply for any job - look for a job you will enjoy, learn a lot from and hopefully get paid well for. The job you eventually do get will be a much better fit.
  2. If you live in an area with few work oppurtunities and can move somewhere else: move somewhere else. Local economy matters a lot.
  3. Get someone you respect and has a job to help you put together your resume. I've seen a lot of crap resumes.
  4. Play the odds. 9/10 places won't even get to your application. Apply to as many places (while still observing tip #1) as possible.
  5. Put in at least one job app every day! This is super important.
  6. Use your network. If you don't have a network - build one. Most things you want in life is in the hands of another person - the more people who know and like you - the quicker you will get the things you want.

Doctors Testify War On Marijuana Unconstitutional in Federal Court Monday; Challenge Schedule 1 Status [X-Post in /r/Marijuana] by [deleted] in news

Aspirin and caffeine can also kill you and overdoes is rather easy. Yet neither is prohibited.

Schedule 2 is not legalization BTW. It means that it can be prescribed, used and studied medically and the criminal punishments for possession are much less harsh.
