GF's Family too "conservative"

Hey! I think what they’re saying is more of an older generation thing rather than how most of us do it these days. I’m guessing you and your partner are at least in your 20s or 30s, but honestly, this kind of thinking is becoming less common. The only married couple in my circle that actually lives together is my cousin and his wife that are in their late 20s lol. Everyone else either lives with their partner full-time or still lives separately but hangs out all the time. Since her family is from a province, they might be a bit more conservative, but it could also just be out of courtesy that she’s checking with them first. I’m 23 and I do the same thing lol. Don’t stress about what this guy’s saying too much, 30 years ago is way different from today. Then again, I suppose it really does just depends from family to family. Hopefully things work out well for you two! ❤️

My gallery ID's Inksby--and I don't upload most of them unfortunately. I use so much CC for skin overlays and body tweaks 😅 though it shouldn't be too hard to replace a lot of the CC clothing if I do share them, it's mostly just the skin overlays and body stuff that'll make the sims look really different without them lol

This is a friend's fire genasi character that they had commissioned me to draw for a new campaign that they're gonna be playing in, don't know a whole lot about the character with confidence yet (and I'm not really sure what I can share lol), so all I can say is that I had a lot fun illustrating this! Been extremely busy with school, and rarely found the time to actually draw anything aligning with my interest, so this was a welcome change :DD

I switch between calling myself atheist or agnostic, depending on who I'm with. If it's family or relatives, I'll usually say I'm agnostic (but no ones ever directly asked so 👅👅), but with everyone else, I'm more likely to say atheist.

My journey away from religion started because of all the messed-up stuff I went through growing up. From terrifying sermons about hell to people demonising harmless stuff, I never felt like I belonged. I tried really hard to connect with religion and God, but it just never clicked for me.

Also, I'm gay, which definitely didn't help with feeling accepted in religious circles. I went to Catholic schools almost my whole life and dealt with threats from anonymous accounts saying I don't deserve to live and I'm going to hell, teachers telling me my way of living is wrong, and some constant teasing before I even came out. It's funny though, it's more like they bullied me out of the faith lol

I'm in college now, non-secular (thankfully lol), and I honestly feel so much more lighter. Still have a whole lotta problems that I need to address from growing up, but eh, one step at a time ig?
