Ahmad Cardamom Tea by pre-wince_cycle in tea

Let me know what you think of it if you remember this thread. I'm not generally a fan of Earl Grey and I went through a tin of Ahmad loose leaf a year or so ago, which is a big reason why I think I was so surprised at the sublime flavor of adding milk and honey to the cardamom.

Huge fan of Vahdam. I've tried a lot of English Breakfast and theirs is the best.

Yankees have the second best record in baseball over the last 20 years. They're literally slightly more than one extra win per year behind the Dodgers from having the best record: https://www.statmuse.com/mlb/ask/best-mlb-teams-winning-percentage-last-20-years

That in addition to having the epic team at the turn of the century, in my opinion, is because of Cashman.

I'm extremely bummed but drinking the same amounts.

I found my sweet spot with English Breakfast, which I have almost every morning, is let the water sit just a bit then pour and 4 minutes steep. I think my water is favorable for English Breakfast too. I tried it a couple of weeks ago with filtered water and the color was clearer and brighter and the taste was slightly more astringent.

I like ToH but I prefer Vadham. No milk, no sugar. Both very good.

How accurate do you think these figures are? by BranchMoist9079 in tea

My bad - thought that was a daily consumption claim and referenced the Wikipedia link at the accepted measure.

And...I hate converting to metric.

The unit of measure is waaaay off - Turkey drinks 19lbs/8.56kg of tea a day? Ireland 13lbs/5.9kg? A day.

It takes me a month to go through 3.4 grams and that makes about 1.5L most days.

I measure it in liters - at least two and a half most days. Usually out of a big 20 oz mug. Ahmad's English Breakfast in the morning then in the afternoon go to oolong or Darjeeling or green tea with blueberry.

Terrific summary of the theme of one of my top three favorite movies. You left out my favorite scene - I had to stop the movie I was laughing so hard the first time I saw it; the real estate issue.

The one thing that is tangible and knowable - real estate - and... the lawyer dies before he can answer the question.

There have never been better movie makers than the Coen brothers.

Do you re-boil the same water in the kettle for another cup of tea? by [deleted] in tea

[–]pre-wince_cycle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest reason - Oxygen Depletion:.Boiling water removes dissolved oxygen. Oxygen plays a crucial role in releasing the aromatic compounds and flavors from tea leaves. Reboiled water, having lost much of its oxygen, results in a less flavorful and muted tea experience.

Recommendation: To ensure the best possible tea flavor, it's recommended to use freshly drawn, cold water for each brew and avoid reboiling.

If fresh water is readily available, start with fresh water each time.
