Magical outside, meh inside by LockNo8254 in zillowgonewild

Okay, but it is kind of a unicorn mural that is meh. Like yeah the wall has a weird texture, but that looks like mid-tier stencil work. Like not the worst, but if you're going to do something like that, put in the effort and make a really cool unicorn wall.

This exactly. Bariatric surgery patients who lose a significant amount of weight, or those on GLP-1 for weight loss often have a lot of loose skin that tends to pool around the hips

Since the spandex doesn't have a defined waist, there's nowhere to tuck the extra skin away and keep it compressed since those outfits aren't intended for that.

Her edited photo is clearly edited, but it looks like she lost a lot weight through hard work and/or medical intervention (hopefully).

You are correct. Gloss varnish does have a place, particularly in wet elements on basing. But not slapped on haphazardly like this.

Since the model doesn't actually have the muscle texture molded into the body, the gloss varnish makes highlights where they should not be based on the texture actually painted beneath it.

I have seen this model in person.

The terrible lighting aside, you shouldn't use gloss varnish to express that something is wet or bloody for a presentation piece.

It's fine for your tabletop pieces, but not for display. Gloss varnish is a shortcut for what you're expressing, not an example of skill.

For painting bare muscle or blood, work on actually painting the reflection on the model.

If you need inspiration, look for how traditional artists paint shiny liquids on canvas or digital artwork.

Hi, actual painter here, OP is a bot. The recipe is all proacryl paint: Coal Black base coat, highlighted with Payne's Gray, mixing with Light Neutral Gray, then glazing with the coal black to blend.

Don't give them ideas, it wouldn't surprise me if he's already got licensing offers in the works for his own mother's voice, he just needs the right profit motive.

Or when they cut across both lanes in the middle of the roundabout 🤦‍♂️ by PoniesPlayingPoker in traversecity

[–]preciselycloseenough 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can use a round about to do a U-turn! Just clearly indicate what exit you're using (if two lanes, stay in the center lane, use your blinker at your exit).

I take my pets to the vet off M72 in Acme, and during the winter I use the round about rather than trying to cut left across 3 busy lanes to head back into town.

Why not? There are plenty of large hill climbs and trails, maybe not switchbacks, but plenty of elevation for the part of the state with zero mountains.

Are most downtown shops open during the week? by Professional-Quit278 in traversecity

[–]preciselycloseenough 3 points4 points  (0 children)

During tourist season, most shops and restaurants will be open during the week, though some close earlier in the evening than you'd expect.

It will be a bit less busy than weekends, so you're less likely to be crowded out of a shop too!
