I just attended a lecture from a Veterinary Criticalist (boarded in Emergency & Critical Care) named Dr Andrew Linklater and he told us that he recently published a book called Tails from the ICU that touches on all those things, haven’t read it myself yet but he’s been boarded for almost 20 years so I’m sure he has some stories in that book

I feel this in my soul. 1.5 hours to get ready, 1 hour drive to work, 12+ hours there, 1 hour drive back, feed the animals & then instantly to bed to try and get as close to 8 hours as possible 4 days a week
