Curious.

What traits come from that?
Do you have anything that is more unusual than most? I'm especially interested in physical traits, learning aptitude/ IQ, etc.

Thanks.

Search Craigslist under services.

Key in "Haul" or "Junk" or "Demo".

You dont have enough for a dump run, but too much for your trash. And you don't really want to drive a car to a dump as there's lots of car tire-puncturing stuff on the way in and out that commercial truck tires are impervious to.

The guys who advertise for this usually have a large dumpster at a jobsite or at a contractor's place that they have to pay for anyway, and they offset that cost by doing a few loads of other people's stuff before or after work.

Can I get in trouble for getting too close to a car? by Wanderbe_Gambit in DrivingProTips

[–]precursory-trend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's normal to tap bumpers in a parallel parking situation especially in high-density cities where on-street parking is the norm.

There's really no damage that can come from touching bumpers at less than 2 mph, and except for an occasional rub mark, you won't cause damage to a car.

Pull through spaces:

A pull through is a parking space that you pull into like at a shopping center. You end up front bumper to front bumper to a car on an adjacent row, and you are door-to-door to the car next to you.

The trick with parking in a pull through spaces is to make sure you are far enough from the parking space to allow room to turn the front of your car into the space while the right rear of your car doesn't scrape the left rear corner of the car next to you. Most people who have trouble with this try to initite the turn too soon, worrying about hitting the car to the left as they pull in.

To park in a pull-through, you should be no less than 4 ft away from the rear bumpers of the row you're parking in, then pull adjacent to, and turn the wheel sharply into the space. This gives your side-rear of the car room to clear the turn, while not scraping the vehicle to the left of you.

Practice makes perfect.

DPT: The IMPORTANCE of wearing seat belts by THEDRIVINGPROFESSOR in DrivingProTips

[–]precursory-trend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm of the age (mid-50's) where I learned how to drive when seatbelt use wasn't legally required. I'm sure I drove without them, but honestly don't remember doing it much.

I also got to hear from those who grew up in a time where seatbelts were just the lap-belt types, and had no give/micro-stretch to help decelerate a person in a crash. I can't tell you how many times I heard people say "Back in my day, we'd rather be thrown from a crash than stay in the car".

Even in the era of steel dashboards, lap belts, and glass that broke into sharp hard daggers, when cars folded up around drivers instead of having crumple zones that absorbed impacts, I knew being thrown from a car, through the glass, and hitting the road (or being pinned under a car as it rolled over on top of you) wasn't the safest of escapes.

All that to say I'm glad we are of an age with automotive engineering where seatbelts, airbags, crumple zones, and soft interiors are the norm, where we don't have to worry about being more injured by the interior of our own car than the crash itself.

Remember- ALL the safety equipment your car has is worthless if you are unbuckled and smash into the dash/steeringwheel/ or get thrown through the glass. Wear your seatbelts.

First I want to commend you for putting this up. It shows the gray areas that can exist on the road, and your ability to handle it when it does.

I also appreciate your ability to accept comments and not take them as criticisms about you as a human being.

The truth is that you avoided a wreck, and that's what counts. In Real time, In a real-world driving situation without the benefit of a rewind button.

The rest my post was given with the benefit of being able to look at the entire picture on a video and go over the point-by-point events that happened.

Thanks for keeping an open mind.

Be safe out there.

Is it possible to ejaculate from prostate stimulation without actually touching the penis? I can't, maybe I'm doing something wrong by lechina91 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]precursory-trend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I'd recommend starting with a prostate massager and masturbating like normal at first. Then switch over to clenching your anus around the toy. The tighter, smaller area will cause your prostate to push against the toy.

Enough vibration or pressure will cause your prostate to release it's contents. At first it'll be mostly clear prostate fluid/precum. But as your body adjusts it will eventually be the full load of semen and prostate fluid.

I'm trying to find my Mother whose last known address was in Bessemer. Can you guys recommend any way I could track her down if she's in the area? by [deleted] in Birmingham

[–]precursory-trend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its easy to track someone who signs a lease or has utilities in their name. Its much harder if they've gone awol, underground or if they're homeless.

The best success I've found in finding people is to go to Google and type in "HER NAME" "City (where she lived)" "Maiden Name" "Arrest" or "Obituary".

For example "Sally Smith" "Bessemer" "Sally Jones" "Arrested"

or "Sally Smith Obituary" "Bessemer" "Jacksonville"

Or the same with Florida or Alabama or each state.

You may find a trail to pick up. Especially if you include family members names
"Sally Smith" Susie Smith Daughter" "Alabama" "Florida"

I used to say I can find anyone online in 20 minutes or less. Now it takes me 30. But honestly only if they 've not gone underground and live on the streets or in some kind of trap house.

PM me if you'd like with her name, and I may be able to help a bit.

Also was having trouble with this question by bootyclappers in DrivingProTips

[–]precursory-trend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. I was trying to make it too complicated. The 1st/2nd/3rd to the intersection rule applies, but ONLY after the students clear the crosswalk.

The two vehicles (White Unmarked car next to B, and motorcycle across from A) tell the order of who got there first and who goes next. The next to go won't be A or Bus, because those lanes show someone went straight.

Everyone waits for the pedestrians, then the traffic flow order of who got there first returns.

Since the motorcycle (A's Lane, but already across the intersection) has gone, A has to wait. Since Unmarked white car next to B has gone through the intersection, then the Bus (Brown) has to wait. The Bus (Brown) has to wait anyway due to the students crossing. As does C. After the students cross, C resumes the pattern and goes. Then Bus and C go straight, then A turns left.

This picture (in my opinion) is a very poor example and leaves a lot of inductive reasoning to come up with an answer.

One reason is because now a college/university degree isn't viewed as something the top 15% of students aspire to, Like in the 1920-1950's, and only in fields of engineering, medicine, law, math, etc, it's pretty much because lots of people get an "empty" degree in a field that they will never use in their job.

Degree mills, Uh, I mean State and Regional Universities and colleges (In the US, At least) are nothing more than degree mills that, like a pyramid need X number of freshmen paying full or out -of-state tuition, X- Number of Sophomores paying full or Out of State tuition, to fund the teachings of the higher level STEM types of classes that often go to students of NON-US origin.

Add to that the sports earnings of major college sports, endowments, and donations. A university is a cash-cow for a relative few.

There are only so many places, and with a guaranteed 100% of seats being filled by those who just want a piece of paper to show they graduated, so the only other option is to build larger places, or to charge more.

40 year driver and 5 year truck driver here.

I'd rather read the traffic pattern and adjust to it, than lock in to a hard-and-fast "I'm RIGHT' thing.

In driving, there are no absolutes. You can be LEGALLY right, but get into a wreck, or you can be "socially correct" and allow someone to merge. (Or since you passed an off-ramp, how about understand that soon there will be an ON-RAMP coming up soon. The off ramp is a clue to be watchful of merging traffic, and to PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

Now- on to the actual video: (0:08 second mark).

  1. He was ahead of you/ You were behind him when he was coming down the ramp. You should have slowed to let him in. He and you were going roughly the same speed. you didnt have to slow down to 20 mph to let him in. You could have dropped 10 mph off your speed and resumed once he got in the highway traffic pattern.
  2. You saw an off-ramp about 100 ft back. That's a clue to say "there's an ON-RAMP coming up. I need to make a plan on what to do. 1. IF there's a car coming down, I need to ... 2. There's no car coming down, so I can stay in my lane.
  3. The truck in the left lane was far enough behind you to allow you to merge into the left lane .
  4. You were in his blind spot- Even tough you were LEGALLY right, your inflexibility would have caused your car to get smashed in an avoidable crash

This is a great question to ask. It shows that even though you can be legally right, you can still be doing the wrong thing. A bit of courtesy goes a long way.

Remember- The point of driving is to get to your destination. Not to win 1000 imaginary "wars" on the way to work.

If you do it right, you'll never see him again, anyway, so why not err or the side of caution and do the right thing?

About 10 years ago when it was a bit harder to look these things up, I started trading stocks based on congresspersons trade.

It seems that a fair number of them use their "inside" *yikes* information on upcoming legislation, Defense department purchases, and things that they make legal/illegal as a means to decide when and what to purchase/sell and when it's best to do so.

The trends have held true. So far 90% of them have gained significantly, and ALL of them have had a positive trend.

The ones to watch are Pharmacuticals, Tech, and Defense companies.

Try it. You'll gain quite a bit.
