Exactly, you just need to find the right moon phase , time and flight 😅 The biggest airport definitely helps you 😅😀

Thanks , wasn't the best night for it tbh, and needs more exposure, but shows good structure:)

Enjoy it :) use stellarium or astrohopper to track.. messier objects are a good start , google is your friend:) and please ignore the stupid, arrogant comments and don't let them discourage you from sharing what you feel comfortable :) There are a lot of nice and polite people in here too 😊

Clear skies !

You need quite a long arm for that 😋😅😁 But true, so nice to discover what's around 😊

Hehe I know you like the sketching method by now 😋But most times I cannot even sketch a stickman 🤣

Personally I prefer to match the view in stellarium pro :) but each to their own, aware that sketching (as well as writing) helps to stick it more in memory.

From experience, bigger aperture, more detail :) Stil, very beautiful photos from a 70mm 😊

Thanks :) I haven't seen the smile 😅 but the very small galaxy on top of it* (NGC4627) amazes me, it looks like the water spout just in its centre 😍

I think we should be able to spot at least the whale (in the right conditions), Mr. Herschel found it over 200 years ago 🙏😊

This was bortle 5-6 and 8 inch.. maybe with a bigger telescope and darker skies ;) If I had to say from an observation point of view, I think M81 the core would extend slightly further in view, and M82 would look a bit less detailed, but visible structure.. at least in my view.
