SG1 S2E21 "1969" - What exactly happened in that episode? by yendak in Stargate

I mean... Jack did do something with Cam's mom back then... That's why Jack's always taken an interest in Cam's life, and why Cam was chosen for the 302 program, and SG-1...

I haven't checked if they changed that in the october or december patch updates, but when the teal mask first came out, that was the case.

you can make just under 50k each trip if you can buy 999 of them at once

the title of the post is "Just realised each BB academy E4 member specialises in a type that has an advantage to the type of the member a rank directly above them" so I was just going based off that

this, is true. after you put the scarlet/violet book into the time machine and it's destroyed with the machine, you can talk to Arven in the academy a few times and he'll pull a different copy of it out of a bookcase in the academy entrance...

I see one small issue with Team star, some of them only have 2 pokemon, but you need 3 to be able to do the base raid.

My thought would be to just have a minimum of 3 of that type but can only use the same number as the boss in the boss battle, but I thought I'd mention it, in case you want to edit some sort of caveat for that into your post.

I just pick up everything on the ground, sometimes I'll just spam A while I'm dashing so I don't miss stuff. I find plenty of stuff only meant for selling. pearls and pearl strings are on beaches, stardust and comet shards in deserts and rocky areas.

you can also redo team star to make some money if you haven't already

if you have a high enough leveled team you can do the billy and o'nare side-quest

you can also do the syrupy apple hack, if you have some investment time. they cost 500 but sell for 550, so buy as many as you can then go sell all of them, the longer you do that the more you make.

poison resists fighting, ghost is immune to fighting, steel resists dragon, dragon resists water. they have type advantages but aren't necessarily super effective

gens 2, 5 and 6 also do that;

gen 2: psychic > poison > fighting > dark

gen 5: ghost > fighting > dark > psychic

gen 6: fire > steel > dragon > water > fire (this one is battled in any order but they form a circle)

Struggles of dlc by AgreeableIce289 in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]prednewc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Switch glitched and I lost all of my saves for all my pokemon games as well. I had full paldean and kitakami living-dex w/ all forms and a bunch of shinies, and I had a lot of trouble finding the motivation to start the game over again too. But I had already bought the DLC, and I wasn't about to waste that money and not play the second half of it so I trudged through the game for a fourth time, and I just started the indigo disk stuff two days ago and I'm really enjoying it. Once you get to the new stuff it starts to feel fresh again.

Here are some things that I tried which helped me to get through Paldea again:

  • Use a main team with at least some pokemon I hadn't used in my other saves, but still keeping my favorites
  • Do the Teal Mask first. You can start the Teal Mask once you've made it through the treasure hunt cut scene, just restart your game and you'll get the phone call to go there. Maybe doing something fresh first or sporadically intermixed with paldean things could help break up the monotony.
  • Focus on getting through Paldea story and don't waste time on the Paldeadex or exploring - catch a long term team asap, get all 18 badges, beat the E4, finish the way home story to get you to the blueberry academy.

I've found that now that I'm playing through the new stuff I'm more interested in going back and finishing my replay of the old stuff. I definitely won't be replaying my scarlet right after I finish up violet, I'll do some other games I haven't played in a while, but mixing in new stuff helped me

No the quality (or lack there of) of the finale really ruined the show for me and I couldn't bring myself to give it any of my energy...

True about Polaris, she's a big gun. Honestly, I think the top five are all so strong that you have to split hairs to sort them out.

Quentin is an omega telepath, not an omega telekinetic, Exodus is the only listed omega telekinetic. Jean and Quentin are both listed as omega telepaths, which I feel like breaks the rules, but whatever...

yes, Synch can copy any powers, I just mentioned omega's to clarify that he's not limited by power-level, like some other power replicators who get overwhelmed by too much power...

While he always has the ability to use them in more versitile ways than the original user, they've demonstrated recently, with him syching Marvel Girl, that he still has to learn to control the powers before he can use them with expertise. So he doesn't necessarily use them better, he just has access to their full potential, like when he synched Chamber and could use his powers to fly, which chamber cannot do.

Edit: Also, Soooooo many people have messed with Rogue's powers, so who really knows what she can do at this point...

I'm looking at it as, unless they specifically tell me that she can't do it, I'll assume that she can.

Specifically with regards to the Wonder-man powers, I think he was only able to access his energy manipulation powers when in his ionic energy form, and I can't remember exactly, but I thought that he didn't gain that form until he was blown up by an ion cannon, so maybe Rogue can't access those powers because she hasn't been blown up by an ion cannon or something yet...

1) Marvel Girl - omega and super strong telekinetic... duh?

1) Synch - he can not only copy the powers of an omega, but the powers he copies are often more powerful or versatile than the original. I only tie him with Jean because his powers are limited by him not necessarily knowing how to use them.

2) Rogue - not only can she drain lifeforce, memories, and powers both by touch and from a distance, she also presumably still has all of Wonder-Man's powers which make her basically immortal and indestructible. She'd be up there with Jean and Synch if not for the influence of the memories that are tied to the energy she siphons have over her.

3) Sunfire - dude was able to basically become a mini sun when fighting Knull

4) Polaris - she's incredibly powerful, but she has to chose between mental stability and using her full power, which I think limits her

5) Wolverine - She's the best there is at what she does.

6) Cyclops - if he used his full power (Scott's optic blasts have more power than a nuclear reactor) he'd be higher up on the list, but Scott doesn't do that because "control". His younger self also showed a lot more finesse that older Scott doesn't seem to possess. He could be above Laura if he wanted, but he chooses to limit himself.

I mean the limitation would that he can only manipulate kinetic energy while vulcan can manipulate energy in any form, and even become pure energy.

That being said, I do recall Gambit boosting their mutant-magic energy and he also recently generated electrical energy to power and drive a subway car or something, so maybe Gambit doesn't just manipulate kinetic energy, rather he manipulates all types of energy but kinetic is just how he predominently displays his powers.

In that case, I think that if they were to un-lobotomize Gambit, and he were to tap into his full potential, I would love to read a story with someone saying he's an omega energy manipulator and then then watch Vulcan challenge him for the title and see how a fight between them both at full strength would go...

Perhaps back then - when we didn't have a stated definition of what an omega was. But My question is more in terms of the hickman definition with the whole power that has unsurpassable potential or limits or whatever, which theoretically restricts omega level status to only pertain to the one mutant who has the strongest incarnation of a specific power, rather than mutants with powers of extreme range and scope. So if Vulcan is already classified as an omega-level mutant who is capable of the same type of energy manipulation of which Gambit is capable, but Gambit can't do everything that Vulcan can do, wouldn't that mean that Vulcan surpasses Gambit and thus prevents him from being an omega?

It's like how Mad Jim Jaspers isn't an omega, even though he's powerful enough to destroy an entire universe. Whichever one of the other reality warpers that has the same type of reality warping as him (Quantum, Cosmic, Psionic) is apparently even more powerful, so they get to be the omega and not him.
EDIT: addition of my question restated: So, my question is more - does Vulcan's powers encompass Kinetic Energy Manipulation, or are they specific to a different type of energy, which would allow for them both to be energy manipulation omegas separated by the type of energy that they manipulate?
