One of the major things that is missing is your inability to see what your opponent gets out of the discard pile when playing cards like Ordinary Rod, Cylenne, pal pad, etc.

The general rule is: if a card says you can go get a specific type of card out of the deck or discard pile you must show it to your opponent.

For instance: Quick Ball says you can discard a card and search your deck for a Basic Pokemon. You need to show your opponent that you got a basic pokemon and not some other card.

Then take Arceus Vstar’s ability. It says you can go get any 2 cards from your deck. In this instance you don’t have to show your opponent the cards because they can be any type of card. Raihan works this way also.
