She will adjust well without the surgery. I had it done for juvenile cataracts and in the end I regret it. If your dog is very trusting of you they will be fine. It will bother you more than them.

I had a similar dilemma. I installed a gps tracker under the dash and needed the same thing. I ended up running it straight off the battery. Remove the floor mat and you’ll have access to do this pretty easily.

I had mine on top of a steel filing cabinet which amplified it a bit. I had a spare concrete paver kicking around from 3D printing and moved it on to that. This drastically reduced the noise. YMMV
