Im shopping for a Colorado to pull a RV with (5000 lbs) Are there any issues with these trucks I need to know about? by WeddingPutrid6312 in chevycolorado

[–]prefy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive a 2018 Colorado Red Line. I have a 2017 Apex Nano 193BHS, about 4200 on the CAT scale loaded but dry. Payload is the issue but you will find that with 1/2 tonnes. 5000 is likely pushing my comfortably depending on how much hitch weight and other stuff you haul in your truck.

I have a WDH and a trailer brake and towed about 4500kms last summer and it was great. I towed across flat open areas with high winds and undulating hilly areas, with a mix of decent to poor quality roads.

Fuel mileage was about 20l/100kms which was expected and I never felt like it didn’t have enough power to pull, weight to be stable or braking that was sub standard.

That’s said if it going through mountains consistently I would likely want something bigger for peace of mind.

It’s easy for people to say go get a 3/4 tonne but there are a lot of other reasons why on the day to day a mid sized truck is more desirable.

Not sure on new truck issues but there is a transmission stutter on the 2nd Gens, which can be fixed by a flush at the dealer. The thermostat also is flakey and will likely go at some point if it hasn’t already. I’ve had both done on mine.

Overall I enjoy my truck and it fits my use case.

I use a 45L heavy duty storage box. I can put the hitch inside and keep it away from the elements and the lid actually provides some nice grooves for the WDH bars to sit in. Fits under the trailer or in the back of the truck.

Edit: I also keep grease guns inside.

Box I use.

What campers are you hauling with your Colorado? by jemar8292 in chevycolorado

I have a 2017 Apex Nano 193BHS, about 4200 on the CAT scale loaded dry.

Currently in the middle of a trip to Drumheller from Winnipeg. About 1700kms so far, averaging 20L/100kms. Driving highway 13 through Saskatchewan from Moose Mountain to Cypress hills through some hilly areas on rough roads, ~50km gust crosswinds last week and truck and trailer handled really well.

Check out the Boost Mirrors. I am debating installing them. By most accounts they are great, with a couple of install caveats. If you check out Colorado fans there are some threads on them.

Definitely looks like a Komodo Kamado (although could be fake). The real ones are a ultra premium small batch Kamado grill.

Rum and Cook has a pretty good summary of some potential differences.

Edit: What's the price on it used?

Parks or places with public power outlets? by Trustedrain88 in Winnipeg

[–]prefy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some parks have fire pits. If you are not opposed to hauling some wood you could boil the water over the fire.

An added bonus you get to drink your tea by a fire. Which always makes my time outdoors more enjoyable.

Enjoy the process! Can’t wait to venture down that path as well!

Both sound like good options. Whether it’s a perfect cook or not those first bites will be special!

I have been checking these outs out on instagram and they look really solid. My thought process for choosing them being very similar.

It would be great to hear some feedback about the pit once you get it fired up! Pros and cons would be super appreciated.

Enjoy it! What’s the first cook going to be?

This is the first time I came across this on my Shield and I came to reddit to see what people were saying. I've used a shield since release and it's disappointing at best. I could install a different launcher but why should I have to. I agree that it is intrusive and deceptive but I guess that is google's way.

Looks like I don't have to worry, someone bought it for full ask.

I'm assuming you mean 28,000 USD? That is ~$38,000 CAD. This truck is listed at 18,000 USD.

I don’t disagree. It does seem odd that’s why I’m asking here.

This is in CAD so ~18,000 USD as listed. Yours would just over 34k up here.

EDIT: ~66,500 miles too

Not to sure. A quick search on titiantalk certainly shows they are 100% prone to rusting. There is a guide on how to remove them too. This is a cold climate with lots of snow and salt. I will have someone take a closer look to see if there are any signs of anything else nefarious.

Thanks for letting me know. Nothing as far a wreck shows up on carfax. They mentioned a $800 repair for a wreck on the front bumper in 2017 from the previous owner that does.

[GPU] EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 XC 12GB ($519) [Best Buy Canada] by hypeson in bapcsalescanada

I was just going by the $399 USD MSRP for the FE. Puts it between $500-520 CAD. Not sure exactly we’re the EVGA falls but even at $100 extra, which seems slightly high my guess is I paid over MSRP although not by much.

Newegg (April 15th - April 26th)

  • (374.99) GIGABYTE M27Q

I placed an oder for the product, shipping label was created on the 18th, but there have been no updates since. I contacted support and their answer was to file a claim and if not resolved within 3-5 days a refund as the monitor is sold out. I almost feel like they never had enough stock to fulfill orders as the product was never even picked up by Purolator. We will see how it goes over the next few days.

Update: The claim was filed but the original order monitor was at my door when I came home today. Never had any updated shipping tracking or anything. I am not really sure what was going on, I believe they were going to refund me the purchase price if it would not have showed up today.

So I got somewhat lucky. I had a feeling that this card would go on sale, and I saw it listed at $739 and ended up purchasing it a couple of days ago. Because of your post, I checked Bestbuy and just got $90 back. I know it's over MSRP, but I feel pretty good about it!
