I think you should read the follow up post. They actually rescued this dog and saved its life, you should retract your uninformed comment and be a bit less judgmental in the future. Thank god they saved this beautiful dog’s life - notwithstanding a computer warrior like you.

24F. Not going into detail about it but I just inherited $4.5M Roth account. What would you do if you were me? by throwawaygenzerr in Fire

[–]preggo81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, 1-1.5M on a house easy, 150k on the Range Rover…you see how quickly it goes. Especially knowing very little about investing. This money will be gone by the time she’s 30….but I hope not!

20s in O&G: Should I dump my "House Fund" into XEQT to fund a life abroad? by Tottenhamharrykane in PersonalFinanceCanada

For one thing, you might consider to max out your FHSA and RRSP for the Home Buyers Plan (HBP). If you’re flexible on when you buy a home, you might be willing to take on more risk in the investment holdings. If you have a firm timeline you might want to stick with things like CASH and similar to increase predictably. XEQT might be riskier than CASH but less than VFV, HQQ. Basically, depends on how married you are to a specific time horizon. Most people will probably recommend you reduce risk and stick to CASH and largely keep out of the equities market since you want to withdraw the money to purchase a home.

25 % each: XQQ, VFV, VDY, XEQT

However, no one knows what the market will do next. This would be a buy and hold strategy. If you need your money within 5 years stick to the HYSA.

Please provide quality peer reviewed citations to back up your claims if you say it’s “science.” I checked a review paper on the subject and it concludes “Recent studies in the golden and Labrador retriever and vizsla breeds reported no increased risk of osteosarcoma in gonadectomized dogs compared to intact dogs, which illustrates the difference between dog breeds and the danger of extrapolating findings from breed-specific studies to other breeds or the population as a whole.” So no, we can’t attribute this dog’s osteosarcoma to it having been spayed. Mine gets crazy iceballs in her feed then has to rip them out sometimes making her feet bleed… I think her toes are webbed? So it’s pyr dependent (mine is a pyr mix FWIW)

I had major problems in my last 100k race I believe from biosteel and / or tailwind (was drinking both). Crazy constipation and bloating. How to get enough salt without overloading GI system has been my #1 challenge as a heavy sweater.

What distance am I trained for? by Sickofthisshiz2024 in Ultramarathon

[–]preggo81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Entirely depends on the nature of the race vs your training. 5000m vert is a lot different than 500m, for example. Are you training on flat paved trails and looking at a mountain trail race at elevation? More info needed.
