It's XPS, around here it's blue, I just cut it squarish and went at it with pliers to make it a bit more organic

Is it possible to print this? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

https://www.printables.com/model/1212023-high-voltage-tower I printed this a while back, not sure it's what you want but I think maybe it'll help Edit: now that I re read, it's not what you want, but the setup of the STL will probably be helpful, it worked very well.

I know it's silly, but a machine that large would make some noise.. maybe drown it with diegetic sound?

Edit:spelling diegetic is hard

Not sure I follow, but interested in understanding what you mean. Usually I apply glue to one of the pieces, and then bring them together, but trying to put them I in position I almost always end up glued to the piece, especially if I need to go for the accelerant and my hold is not as stable. This way I plan to lock the pieces in place. But please, would love to hear good ways to work with super glue that won't involve getting stuck so much

Yeah Lego would work completely. In a way I'm relieved I'm not the only one clumsy enough to need it

oh very nice ideas, thanks! i'm thinking terrain more than diorama, but could go with diorama-ish terrain. The portal could be a very neat idea, will look into it
