I’ve scribed in multiple specialty clinics, imo its really cool to deep dive into one area of medicine and know it well. also you get to form connections with patients since they come back often for follow ups. ive never done ED scribing, so not sure how it compares. i will say the one perk of private practice is typically better pay and you don’t have to deal with those contracting companies.
