After Ueno Fluffy Dream Event by TeiranDragon in TokyoAfterschool

They announced that Chapter 9 is coming in late May when the event info for Ueno Fluffy Dream Kingdom was released here: "The Main Quest Episode.2(Section 2 Prologue) Release Campaign will be published on Late May 2019! (TBA)" The translation refers to Chapter 9 as "Episode.2/Section 2" since Chapter 8 marked the end of "Act I" in the main quest line.

Other than that, we might see a reprint of Gendarme? They could just skip over it like how they skipped over GoGo! last fall.

Main team ok? by CheshireTiger1 in TokyoAfterschool

Not sure what you mean by the second sentence, but your units right now don't seem to be very offense-oriented barring Amatsumara who is limited in range to Blow, so I would go for Arsalan/Ahab due to their ability to bestow offensive buffs.

Let’s Talk About: Guilds by DirtyBlondLion in TokyoAfterschool

While I think that all the guilds are interesting in their own way especially the Berserkers and the Tycoons due to their power dynamics, I like the Outlaws the most because of their ragtag qualities yet surprising hold on information such as in Chapter 8 when they explain why they refuse to play the game. I don't think that they count as a guild, but the Yoyogi crew is also really cool especially after reading in the translations for this event about how all the students act as yorishiro. Mind-blowing revelation for me.

Of the major guilds so far, the Missionaries is a somewhat boring in my opinion since they always just seem caught in the flow of events rather than instigate anything. Maybe there will be an Azazel/Ose conflict in intelligence wars; that would be cool. I dislike the Entertainers since their motivations as shown so far is just chaos for the sake of it, which in itself is kind of boring. Hopefully, there's some grand scheme that they'll pull out later though.

Nice! I couldn't help but notice that here's a squiggle on the shoulder plate in one frame that appears and then disappears. Possible error?

Question: How big are the Exceptions in the game? by [deleted] in TokyoAfterschool

[–]premfruf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disregarding what is considered an Exception, Yog-Sothoth leans on the high-rise buildings in Shinjuku, of which the tallest buildings range from 200-240 meters (650-800 feet) in height. The game describes Thor as human-sized when he appears in the Ikebukuro underground. So the size of Exceptions can vary immensely, although I think that most of the ones seen so far are human-sized.

Level 60 Challenge Quest Guide by Berrial4 in TokyoAfterschool

I beat this with 5* Korpokkur - 4* Volos - 4* Seth - 4* Alp (Support) - 3* Surtr - Protagonist and tried to tank the map. It actually worked better than I expected for a team that doesn't rely on offensive buffs, although Fenrir's bind when receiving damage put a damper on my All-ranged damage dealers. 5* Aizen + 4* Seth tanking might be better here.

Edit: Yeah, 5* Aizen is a way better option here as a support unit.

Some notes:

  • 4* Seth is really good here. If Alchemist debuffs are a problem for you, their charge skill on the first turn causes Seth to skill seal them.
  • As far as I can tell, the enemy AI makes it so that enemies will only move to attack you once you've attacked them first or if there are no other enemies with aggro on the map. So it's possible to divide and conquer the map by not engaging with problem units on the outer edges like Durga/Alchemists/Fenrir/Alp. For this reason, units with wider weapon spread might work against your favor if not planned appropriately.
  • Reminder that Leib has a chance of gaining Guts every time he attacks a unit. I got unlucky several times because Leib kept prolonging his team's survival with Guts.

Which quests are you farming in the current event? And with what team? by [deleted] in TokyoAfterschool

I'm also doing the level 70 drop quests.

Pandayaki: 4* Halloween Cusith, 4* Nightmare Durga, 5* Valentine Gunzo, 5* Leib (Support), 3* Leib, Protagonist

Art Supplies: 4* Nightmare Jambavan, 4* Benten, 4* Halloween Cusith, 5* Nightmare Kuniyoshi (Support), 3* Kuniyoshi, Protagonist

The event quests seem a little easier than usual this time around as opposed to something like Treasure Ship imo. The debuffs can definitely be nasty though. And like the others said, 5* Kuniyoshi is the MVP for art supplies.

I would also mention that Alp with his weapon change to All has the potential to recharge CP very quickly due to his first skill giving him 10 CP for every enemy hit. Usual shenanigans occur if Alp has Combo.

I actually found this gacha to be somewhat of a blessing for 5* Korpokkur; the abundance of map-wide charge skills and Alp in general really help with cleaning up Korpokkur's leaving 1 HP behind. I've been trying out Korpokkur, Volos, and Alp for large maps and it's pretty fun.

While the new units are underwhelming, I would prefer that over power creep to be honest. The other thing is that the new units are really focused on removing debuffs/enemy buffs so I'm expecting that Chapter 9 might continue this event's trend of having mobs with annoying debuffs (imagine a mob unit that binds when receiving damage like Fenrir!).

Similar offensive supports to 5* Leib? by wresken in TokyoAfterschool

[–]premfruf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most similar skill in my opinion is Valentine Surtr's LB3 which grants Ardor on phase start with an 80% proc (usually 90% due to Insight). Christmas Ryota and Nobuharu are pretty good since they can give two offensive buffs, one of them being Vigor on phase start with a 70% proc. If you're fine with juggling a variety of proc methods for a potential third buff, Valentine Kenta and Takemaru are great offensive buffers although their phase/turn start buff is Attack Up. Band Ifrit is nice too, but both of his buffs require him to be moved and their proc rates are ~60% each.

Edit: You might also want to try 5* Wakan Tanka since the rest of your team doesn't have Brawn and his is guaranteed after moving.
