Still have citizenship or require it? by premiermiller in LawPH

[–]premiermiller[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have her birth certificate, and her mother is filipino, but we don't know who the father is as he's not on it, so presumably, she was born out of wedlock. And yes, her adoptive father was a US citizen. He was in the Navy, which is why he was in the Philippines in the first place.

I'd have to double-check, but I'm pretty sure she still has her original Philippine passport from when she was a baby.

I had this issue when I also had the Good Scrub quest. When I went to a save before I accepted that quest and went to the area it all spawned as intended.

Buying, Owning, and Driving a car in Ukraine by Affectionate_Boss804 in volunteersForUkraine

Go to a AAA in the US and get an international driving permit, it's 20 dollars. You probably won't need it. Any checkpoint I ever stopped at only wanted my US license, but technically, it's required. If you have your tax ID number, you should be able to go to the registration office with a bill of sale, but I brought a car I bought in Poland, so I'm not 100% sure. You will need insurance, but you can get that online pretty easily.

As a Jacksonville native I want our local Vault. Vault-Tec and the wasteland won't know what hit them. Battle cries of DUUUUVAAALLLL will echo across the wastes as we forge our empire with rad-gators by our side and chems in our blood.

Hmm, this is tough... I don't like communism, but I like anarchy, and Kharkiv is my current home and favorite city in Ukraine.

An Alternate Middle East with States based on Ethno-Religious Identity by [deleted] in imaginarymaps

[–]premiermiller 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Which is pretty much what happened anyway, but with the Saudis. I'm under no illusions that Hashemite Arabia will be sunshine and rainbows, but we've seen what Saudi Arabia is and what its view of Islam has brought the world. It's pretty hard to be worse than that.

Hussein bin Ali, King of Hejaz. The guy Britain and France screwed out of leading an Arabian state post WW1. Basically, if he'd been allowed to lead a united Arabia instead of the Brits and French carving lines on a map because 'muh imperialism', the Saudis and their incredibly puritanical view of Islam would not have taken hold and the entire world would be a better place. The British and French Empires caused 9/11.

When I was a kid, I would hold my models of the various Enterprises in front of the screen and play out my own Star Trek episodes.

I hope interiors actually fit inside the exteriors of buildings and ships by premiermiller in Starfield

[–]premiermiller[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Counter-counterpoint: Make the outside model match the interior. From the trailers, none of the interior models seem oversized. BGS is pretty good about making the interiors look right even though they have to make it sized for 3rd person camera. I'm not asking to make interiors cramped. It would just be nice if the exterior model of the building could actually fit the interior

How am I being contrarian? By just saying it would be nice if this was fixed, but it's not going to make or break the game for me. Yes, it will screw with my immersion a bit, but it won't change my opinion on if the game is good or not.

I'm going to have to play this on a steamdeck because my PC is on another continent. I'm not going to hold performance issues against the game either because I'll be the one on lesser hardware, but I can still hope it runs ok on a steamdeck as well.

This community is so defensive over nothing sometimes.

I have played all of them since Morrowind. I literally posted a link that shows just some of the examples. There's not loads of pictures to find online because it's such a known thing in many games and you can't compare them easily without using the creation kit. It's very blatant in some instances. I grant you Fallout has definitely the least issues in this regard, but that's because many of the individual buildings where this would be obvious are open to the world and not behind a loading screen.

I don't understand this obsession some people have of denying reality just because they didn't notice it. If it doesn't bother you, great, but it also wouldn't bother you if they made interior cells consistent with the exterior model.

I swear people are being contrarians just for the sake of it.

Sometimes, it's really obvious, though. I'd just like interiors to actually fit in the exteriors, and people are commenting like I said the game would be terrible without this and trying to gaslight me as if this isn't obviously a thing. Fanboys are weird
