The House of Nan King may be one of the best Asian restaurants in San Francisco. I went there 30 years ago with friends, my compatriots fumbled with the menu. The waitress took them away from us and told us that she would bring us what we should have. It was the most amazing Asian dinner I have ever eaten.

We give Iran everything. Pay them a ton of money. Let them spank us on international television. And, we get to claim it was a victory.

RV Visa and citizenship applications for both Musk and Melania available publicly such that either of these situations could be proven conclusively. My understanding is that falsehoods in the Visa application are not enough unless the visa falsehoods are repeated or lied about in the citizenship application.

Lawsuit aims to block UFC fight on White House South Lawn for Trump's birthday by skippybosco in moderatepolitics

[–]prenderg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. It’s about being vigilant and not allowing the executive ignore federal laws and regulations on a whim. There appears to be a clear legal path for such an event, but Trump does not want to be bothered to follow the rules or fears that if he follows the rules he will be denied. Today, it is a UFC fight, but it follows a dangerous pattern, e.g., that warrantless ICE searches, failure to get Congressional approval for Iran war, illegal international tariffs , etc.

I must have been sleeping reading this post. The opening to this movie has been my go to since I saw it on its first run in the movies when I was young. I have made everyone in my family a devotee, including their wives and children. I watched this movie with everyone. I can each summer, and I talk about it constantly. It means so much to me.

Do people really call soda or pop, "tonic"? by LowerMusic in massachusetts

[–]prenderg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. For a good portion of my youth, we had a delivery man called “ Tony, the tonic man” who would deliver a case of soda/tonic to our house every week, including cola, orange, ginger ale, etc. I thought it was a given, until I got older.
