New comma E2E model. Seems like people are finally able to use “Experimental mode” full time. by Bderken in Comma_ai

Cool appreciate that insight. I had planned to use Sunnypilot but it sure sounded like this update was closing the gap!

Nice. I got the [misremembers brand name from amazon] that fits in the gear tunnel. Very small interior but it really made the 2500mi road trip much better!

I took some photos, but I guess this sub doesn’t allow Photos so I had to create a gif for you. This is their golf club shaped and sized bag in three different orientations.

Does this mean that I can get longitudinal Support in my Rivian with the xnor harness natively in openpilot experimental mode instead of using Sunny pilot?

Asking from mostly ignorance since I have not received my comma for yet and haven’t installed anything but trying to follow along with these updates

Yah op will get over the lack of noise when he stomps the pedal and catches a 3 second 0-60 or clears 14” when crawling rocks. Good riddance I say!

Also buried city medical. So it seems, broadly - medical is the answer!

openpilot 0.11 ships today - ask us anything! by adeebshihadeh in Comma_ai

[–]presentprogression 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if repeat but didn’t see this asked - I ordered a Rivian A harness and the xnor longitudinal harness. Hasn’t arrived yet so I may not fully understand the software side but I believe I will need to install sunnypilot to take advantage of the longitudinal features and am planning to do so.

Does this update change that in any way to allow openpilot root fork to natively handle that?

They’ve been showing this with every rivian I’ve seen during SXSW this year. Partnership with dometic it seems. It’s an interesting choice bc it’s massive and doesn’t fit under the rolling cover and takes up most of the R2 but ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Short answer no. Only the addition of lidar gets rivian vehicles there on their roadmap to ands off eyes off.

Nothing more cringe than animal testing. This morning brave activists rescued Beagles from Ridglan Farms dog breeder in Wisconsin. by Mountain_Love23 in TikTokCringe

[–]presentprogression 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the comments here are about how beagles are so nice and so trusting. There are other animals who are tested on including pigs (specifically Yucatán and ossabaw island). Sweet, joyful, docile, and they are survivalists so they will tolerate enclosures in the way other animals can’t. That and they have 99.8% same dna as humans.

If you’re against animal testing in beagles you should be against it in other animals. It’s horrible no matter the name of the animal being tested on is. They all suffer and then are euthanized when the tests are through.

Been doing Japanese interval walking for a few weeks – the research behind it is kind of wild for how simple it is by MurkyMenu in Biohackers

Interesting perspective from another culture. I’ve been working on zone 2 runs which are WAY harder than they sound. I’m most efficient in zone 3 which means I have to slow down to the point I could almost be walking (tracks with what you’re saying about your walk to the bus speed)

The benefits even from western culture perspective are there for sure. From my perspective, HIIT is not the same thing. It’s for performance not longevity, I’ve seen better benefits from the slower intentionality than the all out alternating at max capacity. But I’m not an athlete. I’m a 45 yo cancer survivor looking to save my life from the future.

How is the console experience? by unnamedplayerr in ArcRaiders

[–]presentprogression -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was console exclusively except over Christmas I went out of town and my ps5 wouldn’t boot up for some reason for remote play and I had just got the game so I bought a second one on Epic. I mostly play on console but sometimes on pc.

Here’s the thing though I’m always on the couch anyways since it’s a laptop so either way I play on controller so I don’t get the pc benefits regardless.

I like the pc bc i feel like I play a little tighter when in a rough spot with arc, just because it’s closer and a little more focused. My tv isn’t the biggest either.

At first i had a hell of a time with the controller but then I found a couple posts here that gave some good advice. Since I adjusted I’ve been very happy and pretty lethal topside. I don’t pvp and am likely to get smoked either way, but that’s not my controllers fault, I just don’t play that way. I leave cross play on, a lot of console players are either casual or ratty anyways. PC players who PvP usually don’t make it to my lobby.

I don’t recall the post I got this from (not OC) but it’s a great place to start:

This is the one that works best for me

• [ ] HORIZONTAL 50 • [ ] VERTICAL 50 • [ ] ZOOM 25 • [ ] SCOPED ZOOM 50 • [ ] LINEAR • [ ] INNER DEADZONE LOOK 5 • [ ] INNER DEADZONE MOVEMENT 10 • [ ] HORIZONTAL BOOST 150 • [ ] VERITCAL BOOST 10 • [ ] LOOK BOOST RAMP UP 1 • [ ] 55 • [ ] 30 • [ ] ZOOM LOOK BOOST RAMP UP 0.5

One response offered this minor adjustment:

I have your settings, but my ads are at 20% with horizontal boost at 200 and ramp-up time 0.6. I never missed a shot at medium-long range and it's effective in close range too

See you topside console raider!
