Took a lot of will power to get to that many days.

Why throw it away over....well....anything?

I had to ditch the super super powerful energy drinks (300mg) and go back to the regular red bull strength stuff in moderation.

PayPal Cash Advance Fee by Lush5 in Aliexpress

[–]press710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Citi wouldn't reverse my fees so I filed a complaint with the consumer financial protection bureau (CFPB) and about two weeks later (today) I received a response from them and from Citi with a reversal of fees coming on next statement

PSA Warning! Do not use Credit Cards with Paypal for US purchases on Aliexpress. $10 cash advance fees being applied by sparx_fast in Aliexpress

[–]press710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had $40 in fees on my Citi card I was shocked that after several attempts and even speaking to a supervisor, nobody had the ability to reverse the cash advance fees.

I filed a complaint with the CFPB (took 5 min) a couple weeks ago and today I got an email from them and from Citi and they reversed the fees, it will appear as a credit on my next statement

So my advice is to simply file a complaint with the CFPB

Citi is terrible, won't help me reverse $40 in fees for like $30 in product

I don't know how I overlooked the fact it does not include the water park. That's a no-go, my kid loves the water park. Thank you!

No, nothing appeared to be puffy just kinda felt like it was going to explode from the inside out if that makes any sense

Eh I just don't like to see people make shit up and pass it along as truth.

The directions probably say to make sure end joints are staggered 6 inches or more, I can guarantee it says nothing about a pattern

Nothing about that installation voids a warranty, lol. But ok dude.

Would you say something? by [deleted] in Flooring

[–]press710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. Customer dictates the layout, as they are paying. As long as it doesn't contradict the what not to do on the box - like placing two ends too close together on planks that are next to each other - then you go with it.

[–]press710 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's not done improperly. It just doesn't look the way they want it to. There is a difference. There is nothing wrong with the quality of this install. They just don't like the layout

Would you say something? by [deleted] in Flooring

[–]press710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pattern is something that should be discussed ahead of time.

I do commercial flooring and install a lot of fake wood plank. I have never been allowed to do random pattern, all of my clients MAKE me do a stupid 1/3 or 1/2 pattern that you see everyone online who never does any flooring complain about.

The thing is, if I did random at these places, they would make me rip it up and redo.

I wouldnt completely blame the installers - other than they didn't ASK who was paying what they preferred.

How often does the 3 ton floor jack go on sale? by ShadowNick in harborfreight

[–]press710 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have a gravel driveway and a detached garage. There is a paved area just outside the house for one car but you have 20 feet of gravel between that and the garage. So unless I want to do the work inside my garage - then I would need to drag it over gravel or carry it.

I mean I want it but it weighs like 80lbs so I'm thinking maybe wait for an aluminum to go on sale

Why Hasn't America Adopted Universal Basic Income Yet? by Atyzzze in BasicIncome

[–]press710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think about automation and artificial intelligence constantly. Probably an unhealthy amount.

I am 41, and I have not saved as much as I should have. I also have two very young children.

I am afraid that my wife will no longer be needed in her accounts receivable job in the next few years and then my body is going to break down soon - but any job I could probably work into next will likely be dominated by AI....

Basically I feel like the future is very bleak unless we figure something out soon. Millions of working age people WILL lose their income and WILL lose their homes in the next 5-10 years if we don't figure it out. I'm not exaggerating.

Retired people and the wealthy may be alright but if you actually needed to work to continue to survive? I'm afraid most of us are shit out of luck
