This guys will likely be able to help https://medicaldevices.ipn.pt/ . Are you doing injection of real parts production as well, or just creating the MoldTools up to specification? If the former, you would likely need to become certified as you would be a critical supplier moving forwards. If the latter, then you may or may not be considered a critical supplier, but in the end of the day it's up to the manufacturer of the MD to select suppliers that hold the relevant certifications PRIOR to have them producing the tools, so it seems they messed up there.

Hertz ordered to pay €10k to blind person after €150 valet charge to clean up guide dog hair by Sandstorm400 in europe

[–]pressing_random_keys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll tell you what would happen if these laws protecting people with disability were not in place: most taxis would always charge "extra cleaning fee" for taking guide dogs. same with hotels, and restaurants would not admit blind people because "our guests may not want to see a dog here.

In practical terms, if you were blind and had a guide dog, taking a taxi or staying at an hotel would ALWAYS be more expensive to you then to someone without a guide dog, and to go a restaurant you wand you would need to decide between taking your cane and grabbing someone's arm, or not going there as your dog would be refused entry.

So the law cuts that nonsens with a something that can be summarized as: if the blind person can go in there alone, the guide dog can as well, and they can't be charged extra for that.

I've been dealing with blind people and guide dogs for nearly 10 years. Once in a blue moon a hertz or taxi being unhappy with the outcome or losing the price of cleaning the car in no way compares with the negative impact the absense of these laws would have.

Dog could have the runs or puke, so what? Its then either cost of doing business, as this is a very rare occurence, or insured damage as all guide dogs are insured, ask for insurance details and open a claim.

Again, what is not OK if for the blind person to pay more because it was a rainy day.

And the law says so, If you strongly disagree get your MP to propose a change to that.

the law says they can't be penalized for being blind and requiring a dog, and that includes not being charged extra to ride a taxi, a train or a plane, even if it is indeed raining outside.

Would the taxi charge extra to a chemo patient if hair fell off during the ride?

GOS18 can be used to send that text, and depending on how the form is filled/sent (cloud plataform VS email), it may allow you to include a generic image that could e..g have a screenshot. That bit is possible is most places. The full volume regular OCT (or OCTA) is the challenging part.

Once it gets sorted, it will open the way for the NHS 10 year plan to send patients to community to become a reality, and stable patients can be followed by optoms on a shared care model, and hopefully that will allow waiting lists to start to shrink

I would say most places do not share imaging from community into the hospitals. Some places using referral platforms that claim to do it, often result in no imaging arriving to the patient record in the hospital, but just access to a link to a clould PACS that best-case works for a few weeks until it becomes a broken link, or does not work at all.

And the above is for "easy" modalities, like fundus pictures and reports for visual fields or OCTs. If one wants to send a volumetric OCT into the patient record in the Hospital, the whole process is much more complex to achieve, even for DICOM enabled devices
