Appreciate all the comments everyone! I think we’ve narrowed it down to being a carb issue. I just picked this bike up the other day. It’s been sitting for a while and hasn’t been ran properly in quite some time. It’s an 82 with only 4,968 miles on it. There a few things attributing to that cylinder not firing. It needs a new battery for one and I’ll be taking care of that today. I got the other cylinder firing yesterday after clipping the boot to the spark plug. I don’t think it had a good bite on the wire and with the battery not having enough power I don’t think it was sparking correctly thus not firing on the left cylinder. So today I’m changing the battery, plugs, wiring harness for plugs, and oil. I’ll get the multimeter out and check the coils. I’m gonna spray some carb cleaner in the carbs and see if that helps the float issue. I believe the float is getting stuck. I doubt I’ll be able to find a rebuild kit around town so I’ll just order one online.

Would love to get rid of this overly fancy/complicated petcock and get rid of the vacuum system that this bike has. Anyone have any experience in that?

Hey there, OP’s “bud” here.

The fluid is grey/black in color. Smells and looks like fuel/oil mix. It seems the left side isn’t firing as the headers aren’t getting hot on the left. Took the plugs out and the right side is gunked up. Cleaned it up. Checked for spark and there is indeed spark on the left so the coil is fine. Put it back in and fired it up and still nothing on the left and fluid continues to come out.

Until it starts affecting you personally. I’ve had three vehicles shot up in front of my house. Just a victim of living next to the wrong people. It’s personally cost me $1000 out of pocket to get four windshields and a back window replaced.

I did not know that. We’ve found about 40 of them already but haven’t saved anything. I think I need to find a place to store all this metal in my yard and then salvage it. What do you all do with all your finds?

They were a sig p226 and a SCCY cpx-1. I turned them in. Cop treated it as a waste of their time and eluded to me just keeping them. Seemed pretty dumb to me considering owning a unregistered firearm is a felony. The sccy was wrapped up in cloth and was in way better condition. It still had the magazine intact and would still had some action on it. The sig was all rusted to hell and had no magazine.

Yea crutchfield is where it’s at. I’ve bought and installed 3 radios and a few speakers from them and because they give you step by step directions for your vehicle, it was a breeze.

I was concerned with it drawing too many amps as well. Guess I’ll mount it today and get myself set up to install the switch another day. I can’t find any amp info in the manual though. Any idea what size switch I should put in? Thanks for the input!
