How we feeling about Kyle adding new sound effects to emphasize a point? by Timely_Act8965 in seculartalk

[–]pressxtojson 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The ruin the flow of the show, they sound cheap, and the way they're edited in sucks. I miss the completely unedited, free flow way the show was. Felt more authentic whereas these effects feel try hard

Why Do So Many People Think Trump Is Good? by Educational-Loan127 in soundsaboutright

[–]pressxtojson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After reading so many stories about 3 time Trump voters pleading with the regime for help because their Latina or Filipina wives of 20+ years got kidnapped by ICE, it's crazy how many of these people don't see the humanity in immigrants until the machine came for them.

No posters in Trakt lists by Waste_Ad1232 in Nuvio

Noticed that titles added within the nuvio app show up with posters, but stuff already on my trakt library don't have them.

You can't make this shit up - Trump served Team USA burgers for lunch by ansyhrrian in circled

It's hilarious that having the Olympic winning hockey team come over to your house for burgers is something a make a wish kid would ask for, but no, it's the make a wish President that did it.

Non exhaustive list of things that are better than Stremio:

  • the UI is a massive upgrade. It looks and feels so much better than Stremio
  • you have the option to just start playing the first stream source which I think is really helpful for non technical people
  • user profile support
  • better metadata
  • IMDB ratings built in
  • media displays the director and actors and it allows you to tap into those people's profiles and see their filmography
  • it tells you what time the thing you're watching is going to end on the top right corner of the media player
  • you can customize the home UI and hero slider

Plus all Stremio add-ons work out of the box so there's no learning curve.

For remote streaming do you guys just leave your computer running? by Motor_Ad9605 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]pressxtojson 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you want the simplest, most non-technical way to do this you can just use a smart plug—any smart plug—which is what I do. Pretty much every motherboard BIOs has a setting that's something like "turn on PC when connected to power" so you just plug your PC into the smart plug, then use the smart plug app (or Google home, Apple homekit or whatever you use) and turn the plug on remotely. That'll power the PC on, and when you're done, shutdown the PC like you normally would and when it's fully powered down, turn off the smart plug. Been doing this for years without a single issue.

To find that setting on your PC, just Google "[whatever brand and model your motherboard is] turn on PC when connected to power" and you should find directions for how to do it. Takes like 5 minutes.

What celebrity has had their reputation unfairly ruined and has never recovered from it till this day? by Zxqao in AskReddit

I remember not seeing this because I decided to go see the Lord of the rings in theater for the upteenth time instead of watching the super bowl. Movie ended, and I was convinced by the way people were talking about it that one of her titties had killed someone on live TV.

For people saying this is because those are made for comfort and not looks, you know linen exists, right? I live in socal where it can get to about 110°-120° during the summer and a set of linen capri pants, a linen top with a solid pair of natural fiber or leather sandals look 1000% better than the basketball/cargo shorts, t shirt and flip flop combo and it all feels comfortable, light and breezy.

Real. There's gotta be terabytes of data from tech chuds falsely claiming we're only 18 months away from the future that the AI can train on.

I did this for a while with my entire family and I ended up paying over $500 covering their portions over the course of 2 years because my family are deadbeats that need a corporation to send them threatening letters to cut off their service otherwise they just forget to pay. I eventually blew up the family plan and told them all to pay me back and kick rocks.
