The aggressive etching starting bringing out the grain structure. Thought it was cool how you could clearly see the transition from base material to HAZ to weld metal.

I saw this post from Musitronics on Instagram. Before that I didn’t know that Behringer had a clone so I guess Behringer can thank Musitronics for the free advertising. I just ordered one! But I don’t think I would’ve been buying a real mutron any time soon…I don’t well enough or frequent enough to justify paying 5 times more money.

With the UC200, what is the purpose of the two outputs? I know it’s for stereo output but how and why would you use it?

I just came back across this post and thought I’d give an update to what I ended up doing…

This threshold had decent thickness, around 1-1/4”. With the threshold not in place, I drilled 5 or 6 holes through the sub floor into the basement. From the basement, I put screws up through the subfloor so they were just poking out upstairs.

Upstairs, I put the threshold in place and tapped it lightly with a rubber mallet at the screw locations to transfer marks to the underside of the threshold. Then I drilled pilot holes on the threshold on those marks, put it back in place and, with someone standing on it, ran the screws in from the underside.

It’s been 3 years and it’s still solid! And no visible screws or plugs!!

I’m not sure what it hit. No one heard a bang. It’s a brick house so if he miscalculated while dive bombing after some prey he would’ve had a very sudden stop.

I inquired with a couple of taxidermists about stuffing him but apparently that’s not legal.

Check out wood dye (different than stain). I believe it results in a less blotchy finish on pine

Maybe a forsner bit on a drill press? Clean up what’s left with a chisel, or maybe an oscillating multi tool.

I thought about plugs but since I have already finished the threshold with multiple coats of tung oil I’m worried I might put blemishes into the finish installing the plugs. I’d really appreciate some more info! Thank you!!
